Snatched Soccer Star's Mum Freed.

MARINA de Souza, the mother of Santos football club's talented young forward Robinho, was freed today 40 days after kidnappers snatched her from a party in Brazil, a Santos spokesman said.

Two gunmen abducted Souza, 43, from a barbecue party with friends in the Santos neighbourhood of Praia Grande on November 6.

Globo TV said Souza was found in Perus, a neighbourhood on the outskirts of Sao Paulo. She is undergoing medical checks before heading back to Santos.
