Sometimes people need to work their way out of their own situations. You can have the best advice for them, and if they followed it their problems would straighten right up. But that's not necessarily what they NEED. Sometimes people just need you to be there. You get it. It's not indifference, you love them and want to help them but you also know your words fall on deaf ears. They're not ignoring you because you're wrong, but because the problems they are going through are part of their journey. If she reaches out to you, don't worry about 'rescuing' her, just be there for her. Da seine, baby!

The other stuff....IDK. See what pops up. *shrug* Over here in the states there's a 'Friends' episode where they talk about lobsters mating for life. So then they use it as a symbol for the 'love of their life' like....she's my lobster. Silly!

That is a great idea to list the stats on the first post. I guess I never thought to edit the first post. It doesn't have the same 4 hour rule like the rest of them?

Funnily enough, I said those words almost aloud after remembering some episodes/experiences of mine in Chile and remembering a restaurant named Chilis in Dubai. I guess maybe some connection there with your thought process.

I saw a fish. Separate from the first vision. Just swimming along, doing his fishy thing.

I immediately relate to that my own personal symbolism of how I see myself... the image of a mermaid has always sort of followed me in life- people comparing me to one when younger, I was once asked by someone doing competative make up if I would model for her in a competition, and she wanted to make me into a sort of sea woman/mermaid creature, because that is what I inspire in her. My husband chose the music for our wedding, and he chose music from Disneys "The Little Mermaid". I hadn't made the connection at the time, but leaving my country to be with him, and going to a place where I could not speak the language and everything was completely alien to me, ended up following the pattern of that story, in which eventually, the choice had to be made to kill my previous "self" and become someone else.

The fish part, and the skull, speak to me because I see my character and life path as well represented by my astrological sign- Capricorn. I have a dual nature, in which I am always trying to keep my feet on the ground, and climb as high as I can in understanding the physical world, and yet have a second part that is always trying to dive down deeper to explore the depths of my consciousness, down to early conditioning and beyond. I consider that my greatest treasure lies in those depths- I rely on my ability to drag up or "catch" information, guidance, or ideas, from the subconscious, in almost everything. My intellect (what I identify as the skull image, in visions and meditations), the fisherman, my conscious ego, the water as being my subconscious.
I have a strong sense of being a dual creature in this way, with one fishy part in the mystical fluid world and an other which is very grounded in this one.

I saw a large ogre-like worker guy with a pick axe over his shoulder and rocks around him. Just sitting there. There was a much smaller woman desperately tugging at him. HE WOULD NOT BUDGE.

Ugh... this speaks to me strongly at the moment. I am struggling with coming to terms with what I see as my masculine and feminine sides- in which one side of me is very adamant about the job and career path I have set out on, and the other part is sick of it and doesn't want to continue. I consider that second part "feminine" because it is physical concerns (my body can't take the physical strain) and my relationships- which I haven't been able to nurture and and sustain enough with the demands of the job. I have no energy left for my friends and family, my animals, my home...I am currently trying to find some way to reconcile this.

This was interesting- most of what I see is very cartoony, but this was very vivid and realistic: I saw a very attractive older lady. She had short, dark hair. She was wearing a white, sleeveless dress. She was sitting on a train or bus, and just staring ahead.

I am an older lady, some feel I am attractive, and I have short hair. It used to be blond, but as it gets white, the contrast is making the rest look dark. So I don't know. But I emotionally identify with the image, because amidst all these different aspects of self, and my current dilemma with work vs. private life, there is the "I" which kinda feels like I am a neutral observer, continuing on this journey, and just letting it all unfold.

Interesting, that the rest was cartoon-y except that woman- because that part (the observer-voyager) is the only part I feel is the "real" or "core" of my being. The rest is just the play, playing out....

To sum up, I think you got a hit!

I saw a tiger, blending into his leafy surroundings. But as I looked closer it was really a woman, and the tiger was a headdress. As I kept looking the stripes morphed from tiger to zebra. Sometimes the predator, sometimes the prey.

I saw a samurai/wizard/warrior guy. Hands outstretched, holding a sword pointing downward. Very stoic. But behind him stood the shrouded Death, holding a skull. A grim reminder of its constant presence.

The only thing I can think of for the first part is my fiancé is pregnant with a girl and is due soon, our first girl we have two boys already. I have never been nervous about any of the pregnancies before and it is down to the fact that I dunno how to handle a girl, the boys are easy but I have a feeling the little girl will rule the roost.

The second part, (while I box and would classify that as a type of warrior), I think you tuned into something I was watching/doing. I am an avid gamer and play a game called skyrim a lot. Yesterday I was modding the game and came across this mod that I installed


It was the first thing I thought of when I read that part.

Or it could be about my demeanor, I can put up with a lot without letting it affect me too much, a trait I have had all my life. Good work

Agree, this is how i did it in the past and still do.
Not only for her, but also for others, we should not want to straighten what is crooked.
If we do not allow others to fail, to fall and stand up again, we prevent them from learning something.
So my approach has always been guidance and explanations if needed.

It is, and always will be difficult to translate what one sees and hears, symbols can have multiple meanings but in my opinion the gut feeling is usually right.
I can understand the doubt, and you wanting to practise, but to be honest, my feeling is that you should not doubt yourself and to trust your gut feeling.

There is one question i have, the name valkyrie, are you into Germanic mythology?

Thanks! I'm looking forward to yours. I am a writer and illustrator of stories myself. Since I suck at specific locations/objects but I seem to be tuning in fairly well to individuals I am curious to see your book.

I even have a trick where you meditate right before you go to sleep and ask for specific answers/information. Then the answers come to you in your dreams. It has never failed me in the past. I was considering using THIS technique with you, I just haven't yet.

Congratulations on the baby girl! They're much better than boys as babies/toddlers....but watch out, they hit 'puberty' in kindergarten! Lol! Mine's 6 going on 16. Oy vey.

I could see how the tiger girl could be representing her...because it shifted to a zebra and you're afraid of her being 'prey' or somehow more vulnerable than the boys.

The warrior/death guy was EXACTLY the same type of imagery as what you posted. Very Frank Frazetta, Conan the Barbarian, über fantasy. Maybe it has symbolic meaning, or maybe it was just the games you play. If they are really important to you, then they are taking up a good portion of your life/personality/mind.

You're pretty far down on the list, but since you're actively monitoring/participating I will get you in today.

Maybe it was you I was 'hearing'. I've been known to miss targets. What I got wasn't wrong, per se, but it wasn't the intended target. Lol. On someone else's RV thread their target was a photo of a pair of sunglasses. I saw an owl. Complete miss right? Then the OP informed me that just out of frame in the photo she had a coaster with owls on it.

That "before-you-sleep" method is one I've used myself on occasion. The trick is remembering the details and getting them down before they are lost to the conscious mind. Sometimes that doesn't seem to matter, though: the subconscious can still draw on those details or revelations, leading to a "Where did that idea come from?" moment days, weeks or even years later!

So, you do illustrations? Wish I had that talent! Though I have ideas for the book cover I can't even paint a wall without making a hash of it!

I'm glad you knew what to make of it! The figure sitting on a giant skull fishing is open to A LOT of interpretation, but it looks like it struck a chord with you. For just the fish by itself....maybe if I had taken an extra second or two to really focus on it it would have actually been a mermaid. But I saw a fish, went "that's a fish"....next. Lol!

Mental note: don't be too quick to dismiss images, even if they seem lame. A few extra details, a little bit more focus and I could go from maybe right to definitely right.

The quarry guy with the much smaller woman tugging at him makes so much sense now! Awesome! I could sense the woman's frustration trying to get him to move. Boy, he would NOT BUDGE. Not sure what advice to give on that one, except to find a compromise. Absolutes are never the way to go. Maybe if the miner moved just a little bit it would ease the woman't frustration. Lol!

For the woman on the train/bus...I was thinking maybe it was something you actually observed and I was just picking up on it. But I like your explanation much better! That's cool that you see yourself as an observer/voyager. That's exactly what she was. Blank expression, just sitting there. With the world whizzing by in the window behind her. But she wasn't sad or anything.....just observing what was in front of her. Very calm and neutral.

Yes she is doing a wonderful job. Its the kind of thing I like to see on ATS. I am enjoying the posts back from the members too and how they see the visions.

I have a writing partner in Norway, so he definitely advocates for Viking lore!

There's a big Renaissance Faire near where I am once a year. And I think it would be soooo awesome to get a booth as a fortune teller! But I suck at Tarot cards! So for a while I studied Rune Stones and the name I chose for my fortune telling self was ''Lady Valkyrie" Runes...vikings. But I suck at Rune Stones too! It was during my Rune phase that I got on this site...hence the name and avatar.

And here I am with my crystal ball! Thanks for reminding me of my roots, it had totally slipped my mind!

Here's our first book:
Lucid's Dreaming
It's not the great American novel or anything...but it's fun! It's straight horror, we're HUGE Lovecraft fans. We self published this one, but I've done absolutely nothing in terms of promotion/distribution.

We've been working on a YA steampunk/adventure series that is similar, but lighter and I think it has a lot of potential. As soon as we get the first couple of books done I may shop around for an agent to really get things rolling. *shrug*

They're not comic books, but there's borders on every page and illustrations every couple of pages. I am a very visual person!

Kudos to you for writing! The hardest part is FINISHING. It takes a lot more time and a lot more work than people realize.

Don't forget about me. I think I'm on page 9, I'm not sure what page you are on though.
