Okay too funny, I was just listening to that one thinking that the riff kinda matches.

So now I'm thinking pop/punk early 2000's which automatically makes me think of emo-garage type of stuff like Green Day, Blink182, Lit, etc...

Or is the OP talking about more heavy-less pop stuff like Audioslave, Finger Eleven, 3 Days Grace, UPO, Sevendust, etc.

I'm still trying to figure what they mean by pop/punk...?

That just happened the other day. The answer was Championship Match, the guy had, I believe, just the T, and got it. Pretty slick.
