Ya you don't cherry pick one word to discredit everything, exactly my point...
Or the reverse, you don't pick one thing to credit the rest.
And I don't love america, I love the people that live inside of it.
America is an intangible object, how could I love that?

Giuliani statement is juvenile. Nobody loves all of America or hates all of America.

There is good and bad in America according to ones life view

That’s the good thing about America that all have the freedom to do and think what they want

Conservatives love a certain strain of America that’s why they have their political leanings

Liberals, like Obama, love other parts of America

Moderates love a bit of both

Or non political people may just love freedom or music or movies or TV or whatever or the opera

Giuliani is just seeking attention and he’s gotten it

I love the ideals, the freedoms and the rules under which "We the people" decided to run OUR country. That...to me...is what our country is. It shouldn't be changed in it's ideals because they are near perfection. I personally dislike many of the people. I only love a handful as I think is true with most people. Fundamentally changing the country or the people is wrong and misguided. Our Constitution is better than any other in the world and changing that...would fundamentally change the country. That would be a huge mistake because some many people suck and those people may be the ones changing the rules. That would be a terrible thing.

Anyway...bye!

You may be 100% right. But I do have a question. When you say "He is angry because most people don't see America as he sees it" do you mean "as he sees it" or "as he sees how it should be"?

"As he sees how it should be."

He has his vision of what America should be. But his vision doesn't fit in with the reality of how many (most?) Americans see the country.

Obama's anger comes from Socialist indoctrination given by Bill Ayers and his reading of Sol Alinski's book "How To Organize Opposition".

Recall this 2008 campaign mission statement:
"I want to transform America" - BHO

We see what he meant know...

I don't think that Obama hates America.

I think Obama is just angry.

He is angry because most people don't see America as he sees it. He is angry and bitter and resentful. He is filled with unresolved hurt and slights real and/or imagined.

Just my opinion.

You may be 100% right. But I do have a question. When you say "He is angry because most people don't see America as he sees it" do you mean "as he sees it" or "as he sees how it should be"? Serious question because I agree that he is angry, bitter and resentful also. Who wouldn't be? But a presidential temper tantrum at a three-year-old level is kinda below the office. He thought he had a free ride after his first election. He thought he could do anything he wanted and that everyone would either faint in disbelief of his godliness or be forced down by his minions with the word "RACIST".

Didn't quite work out that way. And I don't KNOW that he HATES America...but he could based upon his actions.

How is that an appropriate response to what I said? Here's what I said:

I don't agree with a lot of things Obama says and does and I agreed with less that Bush said and did before him but I never thought to say, "George Bush HATES AMERICA." Nobody questioned whether GWB loved America because nobody was busily trying to paint him as a secret Kenyan and Muslim Brotherhood Manchurian Candidate.

Here's what you said:

While I'm sure we will never agree...I'll support "George Bush f'ed Up" if you support "Obama doesn't love America" By the way...Bush hasn't been president in six years I believe. Obama has been.

In the context of this discussion, does it matter who is currently President? I thought my point was pretty clear, but I'll restate it:

No matter what people thought of the job Bush was doing, his political detractors weren't accusing him of "Not loving America." In fact, it wasn't something that was said of Clinton, George H.W. Bush, Reagan, Carter, Ford, Nixon, Johnson, Kennedy, Eisenhower, Truman, Roosevelt, etc.

It's something that right-wingers say about Obama because since even before the election, before there was even the possibility of criticizing his policies and actions in office, they've allowed the fringe wingnut birtherism crap to bleed into the mainstream of conservatism. Failure to agree with the insane people will be met with consequences, just ask John McCain.

McCain: Obama not an Arab, crowd boos (10/10/08, Politico):

"I have to tell you. Sen. Obama is a decent person and a person you don’t have to be scared of as president of the United States," McCain told a supporter at a town hall meeting in Minnesota who said he was “scared” of the prospect of an Obama presidency and of who the Democrat would appoint to the Supreme Court.

“Come on, John!” one audience member yelled out as the Republican crowd expressed dismay at their nominee. Others yelled "liar," and "terrorist," referring to Obama.

McCain was immediately branded a RINO.

I don't think he is angry at all!

He is happy as hell to realize he can spend the rest of his life wealthy and well protected because he was dumb enough to take his orders and roll with them!

Look at the EU, and connect the dots with NAFTA!

Soon the US dollar collapses, the globalists step in and we will be begging for the Amero!

Trust me, Obama isn't smart, or angry! Just lazy and dumb enough to be the puppet he is!

Remember when he and Hillary were secretly flown to Chantilly, VA?

What I DO know is I don't trust any of them as far as I can throw the Pentagon.

Yeah, if Guilliani says it, it must be true!

Wasn't he the same guy who said the air at "ground zero" was safe to breath during the clean up procedures?

The guy is just trying to put together sentences that don't use 9/11 as every other word.

His opinion is IMO, total horse s*#t.

Does Obama hate America? Maybe. The best I can say is that he is indifferent to America based on his actions. But even in that, he isn't alone. Roughly 1/3 of the population was for separation from England, 1/3 against and 1/3 were neutral. Of the 1/3 that was for it, only about 1/3 actually fought for independence. So only 1/9 of the original population actually loved the idea of America enough to risk dying for it.

Were we still a colony and the rally for independence were to happen today, I could see similar numbers happening. Although I do believe that the majority of Democrats would be tories and loyal to the Crown. But when it comes down to politics itself...only about 1/3 of Americans are interested enough to declare a party affiliation (including Independents and third party) and nearly 2/3 simply don't care.

Obama did tap into a part of that 2/3 in 2008, while McCain disenfranchised his own party enough to not vote. For all the vitriol slung at her, Palin actually gave semblance to a race in 2008. Without her, McCain might have closed in on Mondale's percentages of the vote. Which goes to show why Obama did not maintain that large of a margin over Romney (who was too left leaning for me to vote for in 2012--I can barely call him RINO to be honest) as he did over McCain. Simply because not as many of those 2/3 tapped voted in 2012.

So while Obama either doesn't love or is at least indifferent towards America, I'd say the feeling is mutual.

Well that's one hell of a non sequitur:

Only 1/3 of colonists were for separation from England, you're a conservative and buy into this crap that conservatives are more patriotic, therefore Obama probably doesn't love America or at least not as much as you and other conservatives do.

Do you really believe that party affiliation has anything to do with patriotism?

You are correct in that you can't prove any of it. The only thing you've proven is that it feels good and right to you personally to believe that this President doesn't love America. That says far more about you than it does about the President.

If you find satisfaction in stating this because it "feels good," then go ahead. It's your right to express yourself.

It tells me that you want to label Barak Obama as UnAmerican. Again, free speech and all that.

Please excuse me, however, for seeing it as a reflection of your own self, your projection of what you choose to see based on your political bias, if you will, with absolutely nothing to do with Barak Obama whatsoever.

The only thing we really know is how YOU feel.

Even Rudy said it was a horrible thing to say, and I agree with him on that. Rudy doesn't know spit about how Obama feels. For anyone to sit back and judge how Obama feels about America... it's just the stupidest thing I can think of...

“I do not believe, and I know this is a horrible thing to say, but I do not believe that the president loves America,” Giuliani said during the dinner at the 21 Club, a former Prohibition-era speakeasy in midtown Manhattan. “He doesn’t love you. And he doesn’t love me. He wasn’t brought up the way you were brought up and I was brought up through love of this country.

Read more: www.politico.com...

It's low and lame, IMO.

What does Rudy know about love, anyway?

Rudy Giuliani knows a lot about love.

Ask Regina Peruggi, the second cousin he grew up with and married, who was "offended" when Rudy later engineered an annulment from the priest who was his best man on the grounds, strangely enough, that she was his cousin. Or ask Donna Hanover, the mother of his two children, who found out he wanted a separation when he left Gracie Mansion one morning and announced it at a televised press conference.

Or ask Judi Nathan, his third wife, whom he started dating while still married to Hanover and New York mayor. In two SUVs, he and an entourage of six or seven cops traveled 11 times to Judi's Hamptons getaway at a taxpayer cost of $3,000 a trip. That's love.

Rudy knows so much about love that he declared the other day that President Obama "doesn't love you" and "doesn't love me" at a private party of GOP fat cats.

And yet how would you explain his behavior? I think its very conceivable that Obama doesn't love the America "that's been", and loves the version he sees in his mind.

Giuliani's fifteen minutes isn't up yet? He cries Obama doesn't love America let's see him prove it. If Obama doesn't love America then Giuliani really hates America seeing how he tried to get into the White House on the backs of those killed on 9/11.

No, not that Conservatives are more patriotic per se. Just that the Democratic party has more uniformly embraced Progressivism, which is more akin to Feudalism than the Representative Republic limited to the constraints of the Constitution that we are supposed to be. The Republicans are equally dysfunctional in that they are rather splintered in their ideologies ranging from Constitutionalists, to TEA Partiers, to Neo-Cons (which are akin to Soviet style Oligarchs) and Libertarians.

In neither party is a call for the representative body to honestly represent their constituents instead of their own opinions or that of their party when voting on legislation. But for all the foibles of the Dems and the Reps, just have to look at which party the MSM supports to know which to avoid. Because if the mantra of the MSM is "If it bleeds, it leads" then they are going to naturally want the worst of the two to be in charge just so they have more opportunity to report bad news. And since the MSM seems mostly behind the Democratic Party...it stands to reason that is what you should avoid in order to get more kittens and rainbows.

I think obama's gold ring pretty much tells how he feels about America.

Can another user quote the inscription on obama's ring?
