Bottom line is, don't tell parents what to do with their kids when it's something this mundane with such preventative benefits.

That's fine, so how about you, do you agree parents can cut labia from female infants if it is not needed?
Or is it only males you and lucidity like to cut?

The discussion was not about you praising the aesthetic reasons you want male infants to be mutilated for either, but you passionately did so.
I'll duck out now, I've made my point well enough and as this is a platform for debate it is now clear you struggle to do so in a logical or manner without needless emotion.
Your lack of words also speaks more than anything you could have said though, it is always good to learn something new about fellow members of ATS.
You asked if Lucidity or I prefer (or rather, outright assumed) that we advocate circumcising for aesthetics reasons. You're so hung up on the circumcising part that you're failing to see what at least I'm saying, and probably Lucidity, too.
As far as hygiene goes, I'm all for it since it has a proven track record. As far as medical reasoning goes, I'm also all for it if it reduces the prevalence of STDs & cancers (it does. like it or not) As far aesthetics goes, I'm a fan of it as the side effect. If it's a main objective of consenting people, I'm also all for it. Aesthetics are not typically the main reason parents circumcise, get that through your thick British skull.
Bottom line is, don't tell parents what to do with their kids when it's something this mundane with such preventative benefits. That doesn't bode well for the arguer. Good luck with your stance.

Huh... well that answers two burning questions for me... what to call my condition starting at age 11 or so... "priapism" ...okay, thanks... and now I know it was that spider bite that caused it... not something called "puberty" ... stupid health teachers and fathers blaming it on birds and insects!
Arachnids are behind the turgid state of junk...

Controversial things some parents do to their children....
1. Vaccinate them.
2. Dress them up for talent shows.
3. Lock them up in make-shift dungeons and starve them.
4. Sexually abuse them.
5. Sell them into slavery.
6. Leave them to die of heat exhaustion whilst at the Casino.
7. Physically assault them.
8. Circumcise them.
9. Genital mutilate them.
10. Indoctrinate them to hate other people.
Yep, angry men may gather in sufficient numbers to protest what they had no control over. In the big scheme of things, getting your foreskin reinstated may be satisfying to some and irrelevant to others.
There are some men that I refer to as "Richard Craniums" - I wish that they could regrow the foreskins over their heads so none of us ever have to see or hear them again.

What I find fascinating is that we are so sex-centered that rather than apply this first to burn victims, who could desperately use this, we have to spend our time assuaging men who think they're missing out. Maybe they are, but talk about being self-centered!
Yeah, little 3rd degree burn victim, I understand that you are maimed and in terrible pain and need skin over most of your body ... But I need to get LAID first ...

No joke, our neighbor really and truly got bit by one of those and lost a portion of his equipment because he was too embarrassed to tell his mother about it. It had gone gangrenous by the time he finally told someone he had a problem or else they could have fixed it.
