Been following for a while now, and I'm glad you're ramping up tweets. Twitter is pretty much the only Social Media outlet I use to get just about everything from news to things tailored to what I like at a glance and on the go. Having an outlet to eye catching threads on ATS via Twitter has been very welcoming for me. I hope it flourishes.

Yea and the most important part is ATS lets the community decide and they have to remain totally neutral on all topics to keep the brand intact.

Literally the worst move they could make is to alienate their viewers and members.

I have 150 other ideas but like the Joker says, if your good at something never do it for free. Sometimes i just wish i had the resources to put things together myself. Thats what im working on right now, getting my own resources so i can run my own boxing gym.

And that, right there, has been Skeptic's and my challenge all these long years. Whatever we think will be great, important, HUGE, usually disappoints, not always, we've got one or two right over the years, but "figuring out what content will go "big", be "important", etc... (I refuse to use the word "viral") is the equation EVERY SINGLE internet person wants to figure out.

We figure our members can help with that.

To be honest look at what you have built guys.........Many members on ATS are protective and proactive for a reason.......We love this place.

It really is an internet community in the very real sense and I have made many good friends here over the years. Your guys vision made this possible and I count that as one huge success. The future will be bright because you are willing to change with the times and listen to other people views. This is also a huge success.

I agree, the open ended user ended content is what brought me here.

I have friends that signed up because they see me using ATS and once they took a single dip it was too much to walk away from.

Most don't ever post, but they still give views everyday.

Some are active on twitter, I will ask them to follow if they aren't already.

Yeah relevancy is very hard to understand I struggle with it as well and I've experiment with it for a while. I can see Jesse Ventura has struggles with it as well as other people too. Its not easy its very difficult.

Twitter eh?

Look... I hate this idea. I hate this idea so much that I want to throw up into my beard right now. I will have to sleep on it. I always swore I would not expose myself to the sheer level of dross on that damned website, or its idiot cousin, Facebook. I keep my ad blockers turned off, despite the burden and risk that doing so represents, and I try not to fill the place with stupid when I post, and I guess if that is not enough, then I will have to take one for the family, and bite the bullet, but I am going to have to sleep on this, because this would be a big hypocrisy on my part, and I tend to avoid that where I can.

I am not wrong about Twitter. It is a toxic hangout for those with the attention span of a hyperactive springer spaniel, and the intellect of a stunned otter. If I go through with it, I hope you know, that for me this is no different than taking a skinny dip in a sewerage treatment works, and taking a couple of gulps of the horrid stinking effluent, as I swim around the filtration pools.

Sleep, then meditation... Then driving lesson... Then...maybe Twitter.

I know it might sound weird, but I'm willing to bet well written "gloom and doom" threads would get the most attention from anyone, anywhere. News can be gotten anywhere, but not everywhere can you read a story about the upcoming economic crash, or inside info on when WWIII will start etc.

you want more followers then you need some kind of live action. like a live feed of a drone flying over area 51. Maybe a reporter / investigator to go out and check out conspiracy sites. Maybe a live feed of some riots.

Loved your comments and I am in the same boat. I have never even used twitter or facebook. I suppose it is easy enough and I will also look into helping out ATS this way.

Twitter just seems so darn ADD. Maybe I am getting old.

My son has ADHD. He owns a t-shirt which bears the legend:

AD/HD (in the AC/DC font)
For those about to rock, HEY LOOK! A SQUIRREL!

Even HE does not utter less than one hundred and forty characters of information at a time!

When we reduce things down,
To a series of hashtags,
It is little wonder,
That general knowledge lags,
Behind irrelevances,
And intellect sags,
Beneath the weight,
Of false superiority,
Born from over reliance,
On technologies,
From which healthy minds,
Are better off free,

I am not afraid to face,
The days to come,
In the future of the human race,
But I fear for my son,
And those after him to come,
What will come of the mind,
Under the futures sun?
Will the mind prevail,
Over this witless matter,
Will language survive,
Or will the former and the latter,
Devolve into meaninglessness,
Will the light of thought,
Go out and throw all into darkness?

It is worth pointing out, that the above would not fit into a tweet.

Twitter is an excellent promotional tool for ATS, I don't think its value is up for debate.

I do agree with members posting being encouraged a bit better than it currently is, I think the star system is a mess and doesn't encourage new posters as the error of millions of stars on older profiles seems unattainable.

New members need to be encouraged as that's what drives more content, old farts like me read but don't post as much as we did in the first days and we don't care much for rankings but new people do, help them to get posting by shiny badges!

It's kinda of not on topic, but a good time to point out new member posting needs their reward and recognition system addressed.

People liked the gold content contributor thing they still wear the badges here and there. But seeing several changes of rewards here I know the poor bastards will have to listen to everyone complain for a month first 😈

Hey man thats a really good idea.

Maybe a next level bull# stream with live coverage of an event.

You could even create a section of the site with a live feed feature where people can livestream events from their hometown or something like that.

Stick with the user generated content too so maybe even encourage homeade videos of things happening in your hometown. Might be a cool way for people to expose local conspiracies. I never have enough youtube videos to watch.

How about a run a competition for a month where people can find a local conspiracy and make a short video maybe 5-10 minutes and let the community vote through the stars and flags system and then you can do a next level BS interview over skype for the winner and run the entire thing over social media.

Ok so I now have a twitter account.

The only reason it exists is because of this thread. I may never log back into it ever again.
