It secured the 3 beams of the tripod together and housed the shackle for attaching the chain hoist. Did you watch the video in the OP? It's explained a couple of seconds after 3 min and 40 seconds into the video.

Just having a tripod and a vehicle to move rocks is not !00% solved.

What exactly do you mean by how was it constructed? Do you mean how were the stones put into place after being cut and brought to the site? or are you looking for a more in depth and specific response?

I am quite sure that if you want to prove a theory you will need to duplicate the process and get the same result.

Generally yes, that is the case when offering evidence of a theory in science. Being Independently repeatable is one of the hallmarks of the transition from hypothesis to theory.

Until then it is speculation of many fronts.

No, you wouldn't need a video showing every step if you can reproduce the process and obtain the same results.

And honestly, the real crux of the matter is proving definitively that Ed wasn't using telekinesis, sound waves alien artifacts or whatever other coo coo postulations have been tossed into the hat, to levitate the stones into place and did in fact do it all on his own over a period of nearly 30 years. That aspect is proven 100%

If you ever take the tour at Coral Castle, which I have done several times, they show you how he carved the block as well as his many pullies and homemade devices. It is quite remarkable what he accomplished by himself. Ed freely admitted that it was quite easy once one understood balance and leverage. His use of tripods and pullies has never been hidden.

So that makes him... an artist!

You guys obviously don't know the full story about Ed.

When Ed was making his castle, he would only work at night, and not let anyone see how he moved the stones. He would stop working when people came over, and nobody saw any tripods or chains when he was working at night. He was using a technique that he didn't want anyone to see, ever. Then his castle / home was raided by men in suits, and they took his devices, and told him to stop what he was doing and never do it again, or else.

After he was threatened, that is when he started working in the day time using pulleys and tripods, because he wasn't allowed to use his real technique. He explains his real technique in his writings, but in secret. He tells you how to do several experiments to study magnetic current, and all those experiments combined create a bigger picture, and tell you exactly how he moved the stones.

Some of the stones Ed put in place are too big for the pulleys and chains and tripod he had.

There is more to this than you think. I guess it's just easier for some to believe nothing special took place.

Ah, yes. The Dog Ate My Homework. Pretty much every crank with a secret to reveal, who actually HAS none, will eventually have his or her TDAMH moment. It's the stage in the Kabuki where they "lose their devices/secret/magic" and can't do it again. Alas. If only you'd pony up some MORE money, they might be able to reconstruct it. This stage is how they account for not having anything to show.

It's pretty much a requirement. I did like Tom Bearden varying it a bit by invoking Yakuza instead of MIBs.

At 3:30 in the OPS video, the guy claims the largest 30 ton stone was on the ground and "probably didn't need to be moved", which is a completely wrong. That stone was actually lifted onto a truck (at night with nobody watching in less than an hour) and moved miles to another location. Ed's Castle is not in the original location, it was moved.

The only stones that were quarried on site were some of the perimeter stones. The rest were from another location all together. Which is another fact the OPs video got wrong.
