Wow...

Who'd a thunk that cocoa powder could be so complicated ?!

It sounds like my dark no name brand cocoa is 'dutch processed' and the Fry's brand is 'natural' roasted. And it seems the 'raw' cocoa may not necessarily be truly 'raw', so it's hard to tell whether or not you're getting the real deal - and paying a small fortune for something you're not even sure about. Meh.

Nothing is what it seems, is it ?!

I guess I'll just stick with my dutch processed since I'm keen on the flavour and colour of it... I'm not overly concerned about antioxidant levels.

Either way, making your own chocolate is by far the healthier choice... so maybe the type of cocoa a person chooses to use is neither here nor there when you take it all into consideration, I guess.

Awesome info !

So Nestle just announced that they were getting rid of artificial flavorings and preservatives in their chocolate..

www.abcfoxmontana.com...

I can't figure out if this includes fake cocoa butter.

I'm obsessing about chocolate because it's the the only decadence I allow myself at this point.
Some like it melted, not simply hot.

LOL!

Not sure. I think I exited the Holiday and skidded straight into Mid Life.

It's all achy and weird but I'm in denial. So, diving head first into orthorexia and crazy fads.
