Contrary to the politically correct, extreme radical, liberal agenda, this is what is being reported by Iraqis that have seen American Sniper in Baghdad. PLEASE Review the LINKS. www.mrctv.org...:k7E

www.globalpost.com...

aun-tv.com...
Gaith Mohammed lives in Baghdad. This college educated man has a degree in accounting. For entertainment, he went to see "American Sniper" during its opening week at Baghdad’s Mansour Mall, he says the theater was full and rowdy.
“Some people watching were just concentrating, but others were screaming ‘F*ck, shoot him! He has an IED, don’t wait for permission!!’” Mohammed laughed, recounting the film’s many tense scenes when US Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle, played by Bradley Cooper, radios in for authorization to take out a potential threat in his crosshairs.” (www.globalpost.com...)
Mohammed says during the opening of the movie, Kyle spots a woman and child who appear to be preparing to attack US troops with a bomb. The whole theater was on the edge of their seats. Gaith Mohammed states, ““When the sniper was hesitating to shoot [the child holding the RPG] everyone was yelling ‘Just shoot him!’ “I love watching war movies because especially now they give me the strength to face ISIS,”

Omar Jalal, who saw the movie as well states,” the movie doesn’t strike him as racist or anti-Arab. He says he finds the main character appealing regardless of the fact that he’s an American soldier killing Iraqis during the US-led occupation of his home country. “He was a hero and he went through difficult training,

I'm just reporting what is on these links, however, Cris Kyle is a Hero.

Well now that is interesting.

For a bunch of people that is suppose to hate us for illegally invading them.

It's just a guy caught up in a movie,no big deal about context,I should think.
The world likes our movies even the bad guys, why should it be surprising?
OUR BOOZE is quite popular to some Islamic Jihadists who binge before bombing.

It just goes to show how much propaganda we are fed about the general population of Middle Eastern folk and their general outlook.

You'd think the movie would have been BANNED in those places. But no, it enjoyed a good and popular release. They only complain when it offends somebody in power with enough clout to have Aljazeera write a news story about it IMO.

Of course on a base fundamental level we are all exactly the same. It may not seem like it because they worship Allah or are Christian or dress differently or they like soccer more than baseball(me too).

I have said for the last 5 years. numerous times on this board. That everything people think they know about the IRAQ war is wrong.

Iraq showing that movie is more than enough proof. Their comments icing on the cake.

American politics is about perception, and the op does a superb job of exposing what a farce AP is.

A few things you left out:

But after just a week on screens, the Mansour Mall theater pulled the controversial war movie. A theater employee sitting at the box office says management made the decision “because the hero of this film boasts of killing more than 160 Muslims.”

But not all Iraqis were cheering on "Chief" Kyle’s kills. Wael, a government ministry employee in his thirties, says the film was too violent. He’s happy it’s no longer being shown in some Baghdad theaters.

“To some extent, I considered it against all Muslims,” he said. He also referred to the opening scene in Fallujah where a woman and child are killed.

“The sniper, he has a chance to hit the child and his mother in their foot or anywhere without killing them, but he didn’t because he’s bloodthirsty like all the American troops.”

Well it was banned in Baghdad for fear of it inciting violence but it turns out the world loves American movies. I think it's the USA's #1 export these days, movies, not war...but...

This is very encouraging, let me be the first to concede that this is not what I would have expected.

I am not above admitting when I am wrong, especially when it counters one of my primary presumptions.

More please.

Do you think the average Iraqi really wants to be in the middle of a war zone watching people get set on fire fun?

Hell no they don't.

On some level they are ok with it because the problem still exists but there are many reasons for that. For one most fathers just want to take care of their family and most people just want to get on with their lives.

No, the religion of Islam requires that observant followers kill or convert all non-muslims.

This simply means that there are some unobservant arabs who are willing to risk their lives in public by not towing the line, still a big surprise to me.

From MRCTV's About Us page:

MRCTV is an online media platform designed to broadcast conservative values, culture, politics, liberal media bias, and entertainment to a new and diverse audience on a social media optimized site.

Let me translate. MRCTV is an outlet for hardline right-wing propaganda.

Here's a sample of the AUN-TV headlines:

"Sarah Palin Has Been On The Receiving End Of Brian Williams Fabrications"
"Business People Go To Jail For Faking Data, Will The Bernie Madoff’s Of Global Warming End Up In Slammer?"
"Greatest Science Scandal Ever? Global Warming Was Faked Data! Plus Record High Antarctic Ice February 8, 2015"
"Will Obama be Deported as Illegal Alien? Lawsuit Brewing, Based on Police Finding of Forged Documents"

Another "extreme radical" right-wing propaganda source.

Why even bother posting links to sources that cherry pick the same quotes you did from the far more objective GlobalPost article? Why do you think your "extreme radical" right-wing agenda is somehow better than any other?

No it doesn't so please stop spreading that lie. Both Christian and Jews have been living in Muslim nations for centuries and they haven't been forced to convert. Even the Jews in Iran would rather live with the Muslims than to move to Israel.

You have questionable literary cognizance.
