I'm going with number 3. Sounds very sketchy for multiple reasons.
My main question is, did it even happen? If so, did the actual events even remotely resemble the story.
When it first came out I found an article in a local paper that broadly supported the narrative of events - that link is here but 404's - but a search of the news site ffinds this which looks like the event

Cassilly said Max was asleep in his bedroom in the apartment in the 3600 block of Montana Avenue with his dogs in the bed and the door to the room closed. His roommate was sitting on the steps outside of the house smoking a cigarette when two men pulled up in a black Hummer, Cassilly said. Police say the shooting occurred at 6:20 a.m.

Since December 2010 Max Cassilly has been legally prohibited from entering one of St. Louis' most popular attractions: the City Museum, which is owned by his father, Bob Cassilly.
The younger Cassilly, 25, also is barred from his father's home.
The injunction keeping him away was obtained by Max's stepmother, Bob Cassilly's wife, Giovanna. Giovanna Cassilly, who owns a clothing store at the City Museum, petitioned for an order of protection on December 10 of last year, alleging that her stepson had repeatedly threatened to kill her.

Do you agree that spraying from an aircraft was captured on video?

Did you hear him say we don't know what they're about? We can see trails, but the question is, what's in them?
Can you please answer this instead of ignore it because it's inconvenient?
Why can't the official answer that fully explains contrails be what's in them? the whole conspiracy is based on why the can't persist, but even you, and Micheal J, Murphey, fully understand that contrails can persist.
What is it that makes you believe the easy answer isn't the right one?
