Better Call Saul Premier

Two stories for the price of one. Woot.

I was so engrossed I forgot the show is supposed to be about Saul and not Mike. Stacey, Mike's daughter in law, was never shown on BB, so does she die in this?

I love back stories like this. We know how it ends. Badly. It's another great character study like BB. I always figured there was a reason why Mike was the way he was and it seems that my ideas weren't that far off. A cop turned to the other side because his side was just as bad. I haven't finished the latest episode yet - I'm at the point where he's breaking into the cop cars, just a few minutes left - so we will see if I got it right.

Not seen the latest episode but so far I think its better than bb.
The guy who plays saul is an amazing actor.

Without Saul, BB would have died. Cranston and Gunn were amazing but without the black humor Odenkirk/Saul provided, it would have been unwatchable as it would have been too dark.

Better, worse, whatever, it's the same as BB. Sad.

This is a great article about the series with Peter Gould, one of the director's, if anybody wants to read it. It's a question and answer interview and I thought it was great.
