Perfect Memory Drug Future Question

I think it's inevitable that some day soon we will have a drug giving us perfect memories. We will be able to recall any event that happened while the drug was in our system. The question in my mind is when will such a drug be developed? What is going on in the memory drug tech field?

But there many good reasons for the brain 'forgetting' something.
