Bernie Sanders is getting more press, this time from Bloomberg:

"We're going to need bold leadership," said the Vermonter, first elected to the House in 1990 and the Senate in 2006. "We're going to need people prepared to take on, frankly, the billionaire class, to prevent this country moving in the direction of oligarchy."

Sanders said he'll be in New Hampshire this weekend and then Iowa in a few weeks, trying to figure out if he can build a coalition to make climate change a priority, slap a financial transactions tax on Wall Street.

"It's something that I would like to do, but I can't do it—won't do it—unless we do it well," he said. "All I know is if I run, I'm not running against Hillary Clinton. I'm running against wall street and their greed that has helped destroy this economy. I am running against 'Citizens United.' I am running against those people who deny climate change."

But can he find enough money to effectively run against the two parties of the corporations?

It's a natural extension, obviously, that all organizations get the same rights under Citizens United.

However, by no means nor by a long shot do unions nor non-profits have ANY WHERE near the donation and monetary power of corporations and industry. Don't fool yourself.

The Koch Brothers just said they will be donating themselves something like $700 million to the next presidential campaign.

Is Bernie sanders a politician?

Is he a wealthy politician deeply invested in wall street?

So he means he is going after wall streets money, for his campaign financing. Not going after them like a cop goes after a robber.

He is going after climate change...by demanding all of us regular broke folks have to pay more for everything than we do now.

We already get to keep too much of our own money, they need to tax us further.

His saying he isnt running against Hillary is only truth in his comments, all politicians run together against us.

Someone sure is fooling themselves.

Organized labor spends about four times as much on politics and lobbying as generally thought, according to a Wall Street Journal analysis, a finding that shines a light on an aspect of labor's political activity that has often been overlooked.

Political Spending by Unions Far Exceeds Direct Donations

The Koch Brothers just said they will be donating themselves something like $700 million to the next presidential campaign.

And ?

Dunno why so many haters of the Koch's ignore their own. Like the Soros's,Gates,Buffets, and the Zuckeberg's, etc.

How about politicians stop being for sale.

The only thing Sanders is doing is guaranteeing politicians make more money.

The bigger government gets. The more power they take. The more money they get.

Interesting thing about basing your comment on your opinion, others opinions may vary as mine do with yours. It is always a good idea to back your opinions with facts, it can make your comments look much more intelligent and give the credibility.

I agree why is the lefties always act like the koch brothers are single handedly destroying pitics with their money, all the while ignoring the billionaires funding their party.

I think that all donations above $5000 should be taxed at 500%

Then if you want to donate a million, you would have to spend 6 million.

The money would go out of politics overnight.

This would include all entities BTW.

Nonprofits businesses etc...

No Bernie has been complaining for years about wall street. Also he has been pushing for taxes to be raised on the wealthy and taxes to be cut for the middle class and poor.

No it wouldn't they would just do the same thing they did before citizens united. Create shell corporations and donate through them.

Well I guess this isn't 100% accurate, Ron Paul was actually honest and well intentioned.

So I guess there is some hope since one out of millions was a decent guy.

Lol now I'm just trolling myself out of bordom

Ah yes ol' Bernie.

One of my favorite Socialists.

His clever technique of saying something with the *illusion* of being against a principal.

Controlled opposition at it's best.

What has destroyed this economy is career politicians.

So it was the career politicians that told wall street and the banks to run a pyramid scheme that collapsed our economy? Granted the politicians were at fault for changing the Glass–Steagall Act but who bribed them to do that?

Sanders is very much part of the problem.

Bernie voted against the bank bail out this is what he had to say about it.

The Senate approved a $700 billion Wall Street bailout. Senator Bernie Sanders voted against the bill that would put Wall Street's burden on the backs of the American middle class. "The bailout package is far better than the absurd proposal originally presented to us by the Bush administration, but is still short of where we should be," Sanders said. "If a bailout is needed, if taxpayer money must be placed at risk, if we are going to bail out Wall Street, it should be those people who have caused the problem, those people who have benefited from President Bush's tax breaks for millionaires and billionaires, those people who have taken advantage of deregulation who should pick up the tab, not ordinary working people."

Congressional term limits people. Get in. Get out, Go home.

Fully agree they should have limits just like the President two terms then you are out.

Abolition of congressman are forever will do wonders for this country.

What do you want in their place royalty? Or a dictator?

It was those career politicians that repealed glass steagall.

It was those carreer politicians, and everyone gets a home whether or not they could afford to pay for it or not.

Then listen to these congressman:

I do love it how the banks get blamed. Talk about GD intellectual dishonesty.
