We're both doing the same thing, just different sides of the coin. It's not game over, but the advantage the US held is definitely shrinking fast.

Indeed. I will confess to ignorance on the actual military strength of China (and most other countries, for that matter) but I'd have thought China would have already had multiple aircraft carriers. I guess this just confirms what I've thought about China (at least over recent decades). They don't really seem to be that interested in military conquest. They seem to be pretty happy where they are. Certainly it seems they could easily be a much bigger presence and threat if they really wanted to be.
