As I did make mention of my main concerns with NLBS, I'd like to at the very least offer a possible solution. (Pic related)

If you can impliment NLBS to have its own highlited category, thus seperating it from the user generated content, perhaps many of the people who find it intrusive will have a much better feel for it. If NLBS truely has valuable information and strong points, and is well liked by the members of ATS, allow it to rise to the top of the board through generated interest.



Also, an increase in professionalism may help the appeal of the show, at least for users like minded to myself.

Is that what the main page looks like now? I haven't gone there in months. Yikes. With all of that, maybe there could be a little corner somewhere to again post ATS's slogan 'Deny Ignorance' (full unclosure, I pop into 'Recent' to see what's going on, haven't even looked at 'Top' in a long time).

I don't know, I guess when I came here to this site I was mislead by the idea of their being some hope in the world by people getting together and discussing things alternative to the official narrative. I guess I thought that maybe, should enough people get together and be able to create a voice that actual change could come out of it and real truth could be brought to light.

ATS is pure entertainment - nothing more.
It is a site run by some people and their number one priority is to make money.
They will promote what they want and use campaigns to get people through the door.
The more people through the door the more potential money they can get from ad revenue.

There is no free speech, you will not discover some super secret info and there will be nothing here that blows the lid off of some illuminati conspiracy.
If you believed this site was here to make a difference or change the world then you were wrong.
ATS is a business and is solely entertainment - even the conspiracy stuff that was the bread and butter here has mostly gone or is certainly not the focus now.
It's all politics, racism, celebrity junk, religion and mainstream news stories.
It has completely moved away from its roots.

However what has always made ATS different is the community and the feel of the place, it feels real, like a real place and the people make it what it is.

Just ignore all the videos and stuff you don't want to view and focus on what you do want to see.
Things change, sites change and ATS owners decided on a course of action and a goal some time ago yes intelligent discussion has suffered and the quality of posting/posters has hugely decreased.
But I suppose the site staying afloat is the main goal now so we will see many more ventures that we don't like.

You should have seen the place when they first introduced ads!!

It is certainly more cluttered than it was when I first saw this lovely website. I personally just use CTRL+ 3 or 4 times (Firefox), and the sideline stuff completely vanishes, giving a much more spacious and relaxed feeling to it.

For me, I open my browser, click my bookmark to the ATS main/index page, and check out what the most popular happenings are at the moment. From there, it is usually off to the Live topics page to check out the popular hourly posts. If i still have time after reading through those, I'll sift through the New topics page and see what buried treasure is yet to be found.

You do realize you can't win an argument in a kangaroo court, don't you?

ATS created NLBS to be an ultimate authority so they'd have a cudgel to beat down anyone who gets too close to the truth.

One visit was enough to know I wanted nothing to do with it.

Since then I've accidentally visited dozens of times because of their sneaky ploy of placing the button too close to the scroll bar.

NLBS is the turd sandwich that shows how ATS really butters it's bread.

it was certainly a place for like minded individuals to discuss theories and ideas and philosophize over information that may or may not have had adequate proof or information to back it up. People were entitled to their opinions amongst each other and ATS didn't really take sides on the issues.

Being paid poster would include recieving money for posting on ats. It is a real thing.

My post siting the need for giving them a special sign or something shows that they can be hard to spot.

I have no magic list but i was around when certain introduction threads made stating the member is paid by gov to be here and debunk some claims. It is known that the gov. has stated they would infiltrate such sites.

I do not think ats would be allowed to point out such accounts to us anyhow and the cost would take away from the attempts to push the left wind views that is being undertaken by calling americans stupid and lunatics.

The truth is right in front of us.

Just look at the post history of the loudest ones here showing support for biased bs. They all have commonality.

If as much time went into showing both sides of a topic then their agenda would fail. With the right funding wordsmiths can make just about any topic to be accepted by the masses.

When an agenda is forefront then truth is not an issue.

Of course they are real and are probably on this site...but there is no easy way to flush them out.
And you are correct that ATS would not point them out anyway. As to showing both sides to the story, even if they did the presenter could still us subtle body language or intonation of voice to seed doubt and push a side. In some respects that the beauty of threads; it makes one slow down think and hopefully formulate an idea for further investigation.

The very fact that TVS still broadcast points to the power of audio/visual media in the art of persuasion - Entrainment would be a better descriptor than propaganda.

And we come to the double edged sword that can stab back at the provocateurs. We dont get paid, we cant afford to get slovenly, we dig analyze and respond with care and accuracy. Additionally they depending on the size of their budget or numbers that flood any topic may "come over to the other side" if they have "remorse/penny drops moments" Theres no easy solution, but diligence.

You misunderstood. The minimally toxic (in large amounts) ethyl mercury in Thimerosol was the blame for potential incidence of autism. But many people have still been associating Thompson's "whistle blowing" with Thimerosol and mercury -- Jenny McCarthy among them.

Maybe I did misunderstand, but that does not change the fact that just because the public is misconstruing this mans ideas as something to benefit their agenda, it doesn't take away from the information coming from the person itself. Yet NLBS clearly says "anything involving this man is BS", when there is no proof, just the broad misconceptions of his alleged information.



I don't want to debate vaccines but the fact that I even can goes to show my point about this show. The fact that there is contrary information to everything the video said, or the fact that the video attempted to piece together facts without much of a bridge, is proof enough that this subjective content is not TRUTH as you are touting it to be, but as I said, one side to a multifaceted problem in which you are ignoring the other sides and calling them "turds" and "BS" in the public eye.

Nothing i said goes against your lengthy post. The fact remains that money can influence topics gretly and in my short post i outlined much. You dropping by to accuse me of not critical thinking is exactly tactic used to discredit. If you would have just pondered my words a bit you would see.

One thing we could all be missing here is the level of influence that the mob of high fivers is putting on subjects to cover up dissenting views. Truth is becoming the needle in the haystack as one side swears hey the needle is there. right there

The question becomes what is the bs? the subject or what they are being forced to present?

No you are wrong. My problem is that there IS an opposing view that is not even given the light of day but is strugged off and disrespected with profanity and blanket statements.

I don't believe vaccines cause autism personally, and I never have. But to say without the facts that these things are 100% safe and that it is "sh#ty parenting" by going against them - yeah that is promoting a community as subjective in nature as I said before, and is painting a false ideology for people.
