Jordon is not extremist. Their Americas closest and most loyal ally in the region next to Israel

They have a non modernized army of a little over 100, 000 men.

Though known as tough and well trained they might not have the resources to fight Isil

The executions at dawn Wednesday came just hours after Islamic State militants released a video that purportedly showed the captured Jordanian fighter pilot being burned alive in a cage.

Jordan vowed a swift and lethal response. Hours later, government spokesman Mohammed al-Momani said that two prisoners, Sajida al-Rishawi and Ziad al-Karbouli, were executed early Wednesday.

Sajida is the female suicide bomber on death row, and Zaid Karbouli worked with Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and was in Jordan on death row also..

Revenge is a dish best served cold . I wonder how much attention was paid to getting the noose right . None i hope . Being one against the death penalty i find myself saying in this case . Move along . nothing to see here . Just terrorists .

They were already tried and convicted. It's not like Jordan decided their sentence today, the just speeded it up a little.

They put a human being in a cage, set him on fire, and watched him die slowly in excruciating pain while they declared that "God is great"...

F*#! each and every one of them. I don't give a crap if they view the individuals Jordan executed as martyrs. The entire world needs to make "martyrs" of them all. If there is one thing Christians, Jews, and Muslims can agree on, it's that these devils won't have 72 virgins waiting for them when they finally get what is coming to them (and they will).

But Daesh(ISIL) did want them back , now they can't have them....good enough for me.

Now , let's start something that will make "Shock and Awe" look like a lit match.

In addition to the execution, they have promised an 'earthshaking response' to the murder of their pilot. Earthshaking. That's what the TV news is reporting.

Well you know the video started near riots in Jordan demanding a response.. the protestors are chanting "With the blood and self we are sacrificing ourselves for Moath."

Moath is the Jordanian pilot..

I understand Jordan's position and respect it totally. To see their poor man burned alive in a cage is an act of war against their country and one of the most dispicably barbaric murders carried out.

There is something bothering me and its the terrible way ISIS people behave. Its almost too evil and sensational and I can'[t help wondering if we are really getting the true picture, because if ever actions were designed to infuriate and create hatred, Isis is doing it. Is it in any way possible that the USA and UK/ Western countries are financing and behind this horrendously sensational and barbaric way of behaving towards fellow humans, for some reason unknown to the public, in short are we being manipulated by the media? It just feels not quite right to me -but its only MHO.

Are you suggesting it didn't happen? Go google it. I watched it today incase such a suggestion would be made. See if you can find the version with sound, so you can hear him scream. Tell me if you still think it's contrived.

Further, if it's just an effort by the west to drum up hatred, why are western media sources (including sources not considered mainstream) scrubbing the video from their databases, and deleting links? Wouldn't they want everyone to see it if it's some big conspiracy to get people pissed off?

Really... You should watch it. See if you still feel the same afterwards.

I think they're doing it to get people pissed at all Muslims, which will in turn help them recruit if Muslims are treated poorly.

Hi sir, just for the record there is no 72 virgins belief promised to terrorist scum in the Quran, the only Book that was revealed to the Prophet by Allah. No other document can be used to supplement or add to the Quran.

Does the Quran really promise Islamic martyrs 72 virgins?
The simple answer is NO! There is no promise of 72 virgins for martyrs, terrorists or suicide bombers anywhere in the Quran.

The section many people claim promises this is Chapter (78) sūrat l-naba (The Great News). The controversy is due to the poor translation of ONE verse from verses 29 to 34.

The translation by Moshin

And all things We have recorded in a Book. (29)

So taste you (the results of your evil actions); No increase shall We give you, except in torment. (30)

Verily, for the Muttaqûn[], there will be a success (Paradise); (31)

Gardens and vineyards, (32)

And young full-breasted (mature) maidens of equal age, (33)

And a full cup (of wine). (34)



The translation by Yusuf Ali

And all things have We preserved on record. (29)

"So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds); for no increase shall We grant you, except in Punishment." (30)

Verily for the righteous there will be a fulfilment of (the Heart's) desires; (31)

Gardens enclosed, and Grape-vines; (32)

Companions of Equal Age; (33)

And a Cup full (to the Brim). (34)


We see from these 2 translations that the verse that causes all the problems is verse 33.

The word for word translation of this verse is,

arbic wakawāʿiba = And splendid companions CONJ – prefixed conjunction wa (and)
N – accusative feminine plural noun



arbic atrāban = well-matched, ADJ – accusative feminine plural indefinite adjective



So how can some translators get it so wrong! Well the answer is simple. Many translators of the Quran from Arabic to other languages have used the Hadith and other sources to help in completing the translations. You therefore find many translations that use stories from the Hadith to elaborate the actual Quran translations. This is clearly the case with this verse in Mohsins and many other English and other language translations.

It is therefore essential to check any controversial verse translation such as this with a true word for word translation of the actual Arabic Quran. It is clear from the true word for word translation of this verse that no such promise of 72 or even 1 virgin exists in the Quran.

Im no Muslim, but I prefer not to hear people spout off things which they clearly have no idea what they are talking about. So if you did not know, now you do. if you could refrain from this point forward from doing the following, it would be just tops.
