Of course one of the workers said they beat it till it passed out.

Exactly my thoughts. It looks very much like a bear to me. It seemed to have a hard time lifting it's head, which is not surprising if it was beaten. People really suck sometimes.

In case anyone still wondered about this little sun bear, it has been rescued and is receiving treatment.

I've actually seen a sloth in the wild before while I was in a cloud forest in Costa Rica and this thing moves way too fast to be a sloth. Looks like a weird bear--do they have those in Malaysia? It also is batlike--like someone else said.

First thing I thought when I saw it was that it was a bear. looks like a sick or beaten bear with the mange.
