Ah. Yeah you're probably right. As an aside, it wasn't exactly a year before the protests. The protests if I remember started on 11/21/13 (I could be wrong). So really this is only a day early, not exactly a year. Though the timing is certainly interesting.

Didn't see that. Thank you.
As long as this is in a different section, it should be ok.
Are you serious? Do you have a link? If true that would really be telling of what Russia's long term plans are.

and another member of their Duma is passing a bill that would condemn Germany for "annexing" east Germany.
The Russian government has lost it.

The speaker of the Russian Duma has asked a parliamentary committee to study a proposal to condemn the reunification of Germany in 1990.
Sergei Naryshkin earlier this week faced scathing criticism of Russia's annexation of Crimean peninsula when he spoke at the Parliament Assembly of Europe.
Russian news agencies say Communist deputy Nikolai Ivanov on Wednesday proposed a resolution to condemn what he called the "annexation" of East Germany in 1990. Ivanov said that unlike in Crimea, there was no popular vote to support the German reunification.
Negotiations between East and West Germany, and among foreign powers including the Soviet Union, resulted in a unification treaty officially granting full sovereignty to Germany on Oct. 3, 1990.
Naryshkin recommended that a committee consider Ivanonv's proposal before putting it to vote.
I didn't suggest that Russia plans on taking East Germany. I was speaking in hypotheticals of course. Now, the condemnation DOES lay the framework for possible future aggression, as we've seen the U.S. do the very same things when it comes to middle eastern countries. Condemn the terrorism, talk on TV, have meetings, and it all ends in sending troops eventually.

I am not even sure whether or not it's worth of replying to you, but here I go...
Just because you've read something that has been reported by the MSM does NOT make it automatically true, since you guys have a habit of forgetting it. And you take everything that they are posting as 100% truth. Not just you personally, but many other people as well.
Why on Earth would Russia try to make a move on to Germany, which would put them in a difficult position, when they always had good relations with them, and when we know that it's the US who's spying on them( germany ) and forcing them to make "stronger" sanctions against Russia, even though many EU countries are opposing it?
For your information, NATO IS already knocking at Russian's door. Why do you think they started a civil war in Ukraine in the first place?
Man... I hate to ruin your day like this, but even Russian news agency ITAR-TASS is reporting it as well.

Actually, I would believe it only if it made sense to me. Unlike many of the people here, I for one take what is being reported by the both sides with caution because I know what propaganda is. It's not the first time I've experienced it. I base my opinion on what i find logical. And in this (im)possible move by Russia on to Germany, just does not make any sense to me whatsoever. But of course, you guys believe that the Russians had lost their touch with the reality, so these kind of "news?" actually make sense to you.
But i mean, come on. Would YOU invade Germany with the whole world watching you? Makes absolutely zero sense.

Holy wow.
With the current climate in Russia's government, I expect this "condemnation" will be ratified soon. Really gives you insight on how disconnected from reality Russia's government is at the moment. Though, I will say if Russia even hints at "liberating" East Germany, Putin will find NATO knocking down his door.
