Even being a non-interventionist, the fact that we're not in there getting "ISIS" irks me to NO end. We go in for way less important reasons and situations. But it's a Hydra...so there's that too.

I have no doubt these are psyops. The bigger question is whose?

Yeah I've watched all of these, even the "death" photos. I use Photoshop a lot and I see a lot of inconsistencies in them.

The whole thing looks weird.

The biggest glaring inconsistency is the Background against the 3 figures in the foreground.

It looks like this was filmed in front of a green screen inside and the background was then added in later, like they do in the movies.

I've not seen the full current video, just stills. But i remember from previous videos, there was "wind" and and other seemingly open air things going on that didn't quite fit. If infact what i'm saying is correct, then they are using wind machines and other affects in these videos. So them wearing makeup isn't much of a stretch. The whole thing just doesn't look realistic.

Now you could come to the conclusion that ISIS are doing that to fool officials, or you could say that the videos are being used to fool us - By whom, is another topic up for debate. Either way, they always look like an inexperienced film student doing a School project.

I actually think it could even be a set on a farm.
Usually in these vids if you look at the horizon you can see green. In one of them you can see what looks like crop patterns in the distance.

They are definitely using professional lighting and it's ALL wrong. Horrible. I could go on but its just so easy to deconstruct it all.

James Foley is probably having a nice steak in his new house with his new name.

The whole screenshot looks weird, the middle guy has this weird black outline to him, it doesn't really make sense if it were a real place.
Also the lighting on the two hostages faces is coming from two different directions, which doesn't make sense as sunlight only comes in one directions usually.

Has anyone seen Iron man 3? The whole mandarin thing in it? This is what i'm being reminded of.

The video on Tuesday was reminiscent of events in November 2004, when Japan had 550 troops in Iraq as part of the American-led coalition, and Shosei Koda, a 24-year-old Japanese tourist, was kidnapped and decapitated by a militant group seeking their withdrawal. The prime minister at the time, Junichiro Koizumi, rejected the demand.“We cannot lose to terrorism,” Mr. Koizumi said, “we must not yield to brute force.”

Speaks to a cause-and-effect pattern? To a degree, these murderers do try to justify things in their minds and do think they have a message that needs to be heard.

The edges of their forms look weird. Like maybe they are shopped onto that background.
Any photoshop experts here?

that plus it looks photoshopped or standing in front of a fake background.

fake picture imo

look at the shadow from the sun on their necks - they're cast in different directions

also agree with poster above about the hostages' make up, especially the dude on the left

ya know the more I look at these guys the more I can't help but feel I've seen them somewhere, like a tv show or movie

I'm pretty sure you could get shadows like that because of the 'Jihadi' bloke standing in between. he is blocking the sun, so you'll get shadows coming from both sides, would you not?

Really worried about these two men. I hope something can be done without giving into ISIS' demands.

I'm not a praying gal, but I really hope this doesn't end in tears.

Same.

But it probably won't end well. Not sure what could really be done at this point. We don't know where they are or even if they're still alive. This isn't really a demand for money. It's for publicity and fear value.

I say Japan calls up Godzila, and tell him to go Iraq, and Syria.

If only that he was real.

There's not much Japan will do about.

There's not much the US will do about it.

Two Japanese POW's essentially in orange jump suits is about as idiotic as ISIS can get.

Japan didn't have jack snip to do with gitmo.

Hell Gitmo hasn't got jack snip to do with the war on terror.

Radical muslim fanatics have been killing people long before 2000.

This is just sad.

And in other news ISIS killed 13 kids for watching soccer.

Fake my snip.

Anyone going over there, at this time frame, is asking for trouble. Why on earth would any sane person go into an active war zone to help out, is like pouring gas on a fire with the intention of making it bigger.

The problem is, and has been, is that unless there are military forces willing to go in and stop the conflict, it is best, to stay out. The reason why is that there is no guarantee that those going in there for humanitarian purposes will be safe, and ultimately, this is a civil war. I think that the powers that be, and the different countries need to go in and just stop the flow of supplies, people and resources going in, until there is a peace on both sides. If there are no bullets, gas, or weapons flowing in, and there is no food either, how long do you think either side can keep fighting? Someone is supplying the stuff, get them to stop and all fighting will cease.

At the risk of sounding glib, hes certainly a part of conveying the atmosphere of the place.
Brutal, barbaric and backwards.

You are not being glib at all- you just described Islam at it's core right there.

Color me not impressed. I'm pretty sure the IS videos are just a psyop anyway. There's a ripe, rank stink and it's not us here.

I hope Japan does jump on board even with their small military resources. They are ruthless and calculating in battle.

If IS pisses off the Asians they're pretty much done for and I doubt they realize it.

HOney badger dont care bout geneva conventions. Japan used to have the most ruthless soldiers out there next to germans. They were even more hardcore than the VC from what i have heard in comparisons.

Hence why they cannot find the place. Green screens are not hard to make.

Those days have long since passed.

The Samurai. The World 2 banzai, and kamikaze runs with religious like zealotry unto itself.

Japan has been pacified, much like how some in this country want us to be pacified.

Doesn't stop the killing over there though.

Kamikaze drones? Samurai satellite lasers? Someone out there needs to pick these killers off, and I'd prefer if it were done in any way other than boots on the ground.

I betcha we're running as much facial recog as we can already for targeted strikes, but that harder to do just on eyes.

Japans military is still top-ten strong, but I don't think they're take the bait ISIS is setting the trap with. And I don't think we will either this time. Guess we'll see.

ETA: Hmmm...found this after I typed that last sentence...ISIS Pisses Off Pacifist Japan by Taking Hostages

Didn't realize they were remilitarizing.

The hawkish prime minister and his cabinet who have moved forward to remilitarize Japan under the guise of “collective self defense” are now in the difficult position of whether to negotiate with terrorists or to let two Japanese citizens be killed. Neither decision will have a happy outcome.

-We don't negotiate with terrorists!
...publicly.

Sad truth. Unless something short of a miracle happens, those two are as good as dead.
Maybe we need to stop the politically correct approach and flat out bomb isis out of existence.

Ah, but the bleeding heart liberals will cry "collateral murder!" I say fight fire, with thermonuclear fire.
