I wouldn't call threatening dog owners and their pets with death "light hearted"...

Maybe that is just me. Regardless of how you catorgorize your thoughts, what you said is still a threat, and I will if you decide to carry out the so called "rant" react with equal real life justice.

It's funny you are taking such offence from this thread as I hear you really don't care what Europeans think.

I'm really sorry you took my thread threat to ban all dogs and kill their owners personally. I wouldn't kill you AprilFooseball, I make love not war.

Remember AprilFooseball - bag up that bab and avoid a bullet!

There was a lady who kept letting her dog pee on my roses. Now, I've spent a lot of time on them, making sure they are well taken care of because my wife likes them. She would be out walking her dog and I would see her out the window, just let her little dog hike his leg on them, then squat in the yard. I confronted her one day and asked, "How would you like it if I let my dogs crap in your yard. She said "I don't care, it's just a little poop".
I have 2 Great Pyrenees

I fed them very well that night and we took a walk to her house the next day. No more little dog peeing on my roses or pooping in my yard.
Edit to add :
For folks who don't know how big Great Pyrenees are.

LOL Nice rant, In Oz we changed the laws years ago and they are actively policed so that if your dog poops in public and you dont clean it you get an on the spot fine. Most parks have poop bags and disposal bins in them as wll so theres really no excuse for not doing the right thing

I like lists...

Come to the US, you will find a barrel of a shotgun as a welcome if you threaten me or my dog here. Don't worry I will inscribe a # bag on your tombstone.

People like this guy are why America should have stricter gun laws, how this guy in his mental state was able to (most likely legally) get a gun is beyond me and actually quite frightening

Hmm,

This was an installation commissioned by the Canal and river trust to highlight the problem.

In the UK, there are two acceptable ways of dealing with dogs#17. Bag it and bin it, or stick and flick. Bag and bin is used most widely, but if, like me you prefer to trek the less inhabited spots, it perfectly acceptable to take a stick, and use it to reposition the mess aay from where it could cause a problem for anyone else.

A lot of country parks now prefer you to use this option now, as the poo tree phenomenon seems to stem from people picking up the poo, and after a few minutes of not coming across a bin, get bored of carrying it, so casually toss it into a tree where it gets caught on the branches. Come autumn, all the leaves drop, the poo doesn't.

ETA-There is a third way thinking about it...you could elect it to government

Not as much as you'd think. It's the brushing and combing and piles of hair that's the biggest headache.

In my local city,
there's a $250 fine for abandoned pet waste.
They just don't enforce it.

I had to purchase and put up signs- some lady with a golden retriever (fairly large dog, as far as city pets go) likes to not pick up her messes. I've slipped on it mowing the lawn on several occasions- if I didn't wear steel toe boots all the time I'd have likely lost a toe after the last incident, where I was on a slight hill and my foot went under the mower deck.

However I think all dogs should be banned as pets.

Meet my old, lame, stinky beagle .... Daisy.

No need to ban Daisy. We, and everyone else in the neighborhood, all pick up the dog poop after walking them. It's the law. If you don't like dog poop being around, then get a law passed that it has to be picked up or the owner fined.

If someone is going to be an irresponsible pet owner, they shouldn't be a pet owner at all. There is no excuse for allowing a dog to poo wherever it wants without picking up after it. If someone wants the dog then they had better clean up after it.

She's a cute dog

I think we have a law/on the spot fine, £1000 - never enforced though

Good picture that too btw - looks like she's thinking.

She's taking a sun bath in my flower box on the back porch.
She's not supposed to go in there ... but I just can't keep her out.

The biggest thing that chaps my rear is idiots who let their dogs off the leash, then they get aggravated when they can't catch it when it wont heed their calls. Duh? As far as pooping, most of the time when I have asked a neighbor or whoever to not let their dog crap in my yard, they actually get mad at ME for having a problem with it.. Really?
