I know something of evil. More than I'd like to, truth be told. But I don't think a gun would solve it. Because killing is evil, too. A new bad king would appear again some day. You might solve it for now, but it won't do anything in the long run. Though if he was my husband, I don't know what I'd do.

I hope I never have to kill anyone.

They have been saying it's the end of days since the middle ages but humans, clever creatures that we are just keep on going. That eveready bunny has nothing on us.
I have faith in mankind because I have to think the rest of them are not unlike me and I am a loving and creative being. I can imagine a future that includes my own flesh and blood.
I do not see death and destruction or failure on the horizon.

Hmm while I enjoy your enthousiam there are certain points I could give, therefore a few remarks:

- word choice: that AHA moment is called an epiphany, just so you know.

- These people are suffering (without most of them even knowing it) immensely. It all leads towards a breaking point. However that breaking point could bring out a revolution, or a total destruction of will power and they will end up like mindless zombies.

- However if a revolution breaks out: who will be the leader? Is there anyone who can direct these people? Is there anyone who knows how to rebuild? If a revolution breaks out, how do we know this person is not positioned by the government secretly? Don't underestimate them in the slightest, they know what they are doing.

You underestimate the power of a mother's love. Unless this supposed king also isolated the children from their mother before filling their heads with nonsense, the mother could and naturally would correct any damage done at the end of every school day. The mother would have much more sway over the children than any obscure leader did.

No one can take your soul. Your soul is how you choose to behave and see the world.
