Multiple shots were fired from a moving vehicle near VP Joe Bidens home in Wilmington Delaware last night. An investigation is ongoing. It's raining in Wilmington today. HEAVY rain and some ice. So TV is saying the investigation is going slowly.

In another incident - maybe related or maybe not - a man was arrested for speeding and 'fleeing the scene' of the incident. He was tested for gunpowder residue and the results came up negative.

Secret Service Says Shots Fired Saturday Night Near Biden Delaware Home

Shots were fired Saturday night near Vice President Biden’s home in Delaware, the Secret Service said Sunday. The agency said multiple shots were fired from a vehicle being driven on a public road outside the security perimeter of the Wilmington, Del.-area home.

Secret Service personnel at the Greenville, Del., residence heard shots at about 8:25 p.m. and saw a vehicle drive past at a high rate of speed, fleeing the scene, said agency spokesman Robert Hoback.

Roughly 30 minutes later, a vehicle tried to pass a New Castle County police officer securing the outer perimeter of the vice president’s residence, which resulted in the driver being arrested and charged with resisting arrest, authorities said..

Maybe it was Biden shooting at a 7-11 owner who wondered onto his property, or a black guy who's not as clean or articulate as Obama.

I heard about this on CNN a short time ago. I think it is (of course) good that Mr. Biden wasn't home; I keep thinking how he and his family must be very alarmed and afraid right now.

I hope they find the people who fired the shots...and they will be stopped from hurting anyone.

Wilmington is a VERY rough town. High crime rate.

That being said ... heavy rain in Wilmington today.
It's slowing the investigation ... according to the news.

Didn't you read Biden's history of racist comments?

Biden kicked off his 2007 White House run by condescending to his current running mate, saying that then-Sen. Barack Obama was the “first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.”

Biden’s treatment of Indian-Americans has earned him plenty of criticism. In 2006, he told an Indian-American supporter that “you cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking.”

Biden should have taken his double barrelled shotgun, gone outside and fired two blasts in the air! Sorry, I had to

Compassion for whom? Do you think Biden reads ATS?

Compassion for those who voted for him and believed that he wasn't racist?

It was satire.

Satire relating to Biden's history of making racist statements, and now his home is being shot at.

Don't throw stones if you live in a glass house type of thing.

Biden is part of an administration that Muslims hate for what they claim are atrocities against them.

WDEL Wilmington DE - Video

A gunman fired shots from a passing vehicle on the 1200 block of Barley Mill Road near the Vice President's home around 8:30 p.m. The Vice President and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, weren't home at the time of the shooting though they were spending the weekend in Delaware, according to authorities.

Secret Service personnel heard the shots and said the vehicle drove past the home at a high rate of speed and fled the scene.

The Bidens' home sits several hundred feet off Barley Mill Road. A guard shack and several unmarked SUVS block the entrance to the home. Immediately after the shots fired incident, county police said a perimeter was set up around residence, but property checks failed to locate any suspects.

I really don't know for sure if Mr. Biden is a racist or not... but right now someone is targeting him and his family...they want to kill him...and my heart goes out to him and his family...at this moment for that reason. No matter what his beliefs are...I don't want him (or anyone) to die that way.

I have a question and one that should be asked but here goes: Where was secret service? Don't you think that anyplace that the VP or president may go, would warrent that the Secret service be around, present, in the home, having video on all that comes and goes on a street? So where were they and why did they not get pictures and survellience of the area?

Too bad they did not shoot at Dick Cheney's house...he would have taken care of things himself.

If by 'taken care of things' you mean miss his target and shoot another hunter, then I agree!

After all, Americans do appear to have the habit of shooting leaders they don't like...that's why the 'satire' comes so easily to some.
