In America? Neither is plausible. We have secular rule of law and most people are too educated to fall for a theocracy or a caliphate. The only way that could happen is if it was applied to us from outside forces.

Oh that is why it says "in god we trust" on your money and essentially every politician is a member of a church.

Christians "god wills it" mentality has seen the deaths of more than 50 million in WW2 alone. Sure the allies were not carrying crosses into battle but most of the soldiers had one under their collar. It was acceptable to those from the Christian faith to see that 50 million people would die in WW2 alone.

In fairness (and for the sake of political correctness), I think you must include 'Radical Atheists' in your question, as well.
Otherwise, known as 'Progressives'....those dudes are scary as hell.

Based on the recent past I'd say the people that killed 3,000 Americans and who where radical muslims would have to have an advantage. Radical christians talk a good game but as far as action the radical muslims are imo the biggest threat.
