Yes to all. I love Opeth, if I'm not mistaken he is also the vocalist for Bloodbath,

Yah..Mikael Akerfeldt (lead singer of Opeth) was the singer for one Bloodbath album..
The current bloodbath singer is the vocalist for Paradise Lost.
Martin Axenrot , drummer for Opeth , is also the drummer for Bloodbath.

Here is a song that Mikael did with Ihsahn , singer and founding member of the legendary Emperor.

Abigail Williams, nice! Brings Vehemence to mind. I'm originally an Az girl and I loved vehemence when I was a wee lass

Maybe its just me, but I never see much love for My Arms, Your Hearse, and that album was what broadened my horizons so to speak from grind and death as a teenager. The only black metal I could tolerate was Setherial and anything like Opeth or Katatonia was a pass for me.

On the Bloodbath note, I happened to see an interesting rendition of Eaten a few years ago which I believe was dubbed the radio disney version. Was good for a little laugh. There was a pretty cute version of Behemoth's Demigod done in the same vein, too.

Bah, no worries I still see veterans make mistakes. I will admit bbcode might seem like a lot at first but once you get it its all easy.

If you start an introduction thread a mod will likely stop by and drop a heap of links on ya. Plus its a good place to ask questions and just say hi to the community. Not required though, I myself just sorta slipped through the cracks one gloomy evening... I built a small nest of forgotten conspircies and dust bunnies... and I never left.

Funny enough My Arms Your Hears is the album that got me started with Opeth.
Now here I am 20 years later with 1 logo tattoo and having seen them 14 times live even with their evolution of style I still find Mikael to be my favorite metal voice.

I think it was 2005 or 06 before I gave them a chance and by then my arms, your hearse had been around a handful of years I think. Very glad I set aside the bs brutal or nothing mindset long enough to actually listen, I was hooked about 3 seconds into April ethereal. I heard a new track from behemoth that actually had a distinctly opethy vibe partway through but there's no way I can remember the very Polish title. Xiadz maybe.
