To be honest, I just looked for a snowman in a burka and this is the closest I could find quick.

Ummm...it was specifically an Islamic cleric that made the call and statement about it. A VERY highly respected one at that. Are you implying that he is just interpreting this the way he wants to and is an "extremist" in his own way? Gotta love all the comments on ATS about not blaming a religion for this or that when it seems there are plenty in the religion that just make up whatever they want. What should be blamed? The book the religion is based on since ALL follow it yet it seems ALL interpret it the way they want?

It does underscore just how much Islam with Shari'a is a vehicle of total control in one's life though.

While I'm sure everyone can think of some crazy preacher out somewhere who might think this one up, I just can't picture most Christians having to check in with top Christian scholars in the US to find out if they should build snowmen. I can't picture the Jewish doing it either, not even the orthodox.

Study some history some more. Mohammed came along before the middle and dark ages. He was the one who told the Muslims to learn as much as possible. Besides how can thew be Muslims before Mohammed.

Yea and they have this big rock over there they go and visit every year.
