I wasn't aware it snowed in Saudi Arabia ? I would think sand sculptures would be more of an issue there! I have seen some pretty sexy mermaid ones....

Who better than a Muslim cleric to know what the people under his tutelage can be trusted with?

He has shown us that Islamic people in that area are not to be trusted to decide to make a snowman.

Who are we to tell him that making a snowman is harmless?

The fact is self evident that making snowmen is harmful to Islamic people.

Fear is a powerful motivator. I can't understand it though, unless there is some way to discern who is doing what, when and where...how do they keep rule over those WAY outside the towns that these clerics live. I mean you would have to have eyes and ears everywhere to stop this kind of thing.
