I set my Ubuntu system up to where Cairo Dock autostarts and is the default user interface. All you do is copy
/usr/share/applications/cairo-dock.desktop to /etc/xdg/autostart so Cairo-Dock will autostart, then if you want to use Cairo Dock without using Unity,
then you just choose Cairo Dock when logging in on the LightDM login screen.
I also did some tweaking to some settings to where I was able to remaster my setup as a standalone operating system removing all Ubuntu trademarks. I
currently sell this for $5 a download in case anybody is interested. Right now my main offering is a customized version of Ubuntu 16.04.1 with Cairo
Dock as the default interface as well as extra software (Kodi, Chrome, GIMP, etc.) and an updated Linux kernel (version 4.8).
