The "survivor's issue" depicts the Prophet crying, as the magazine's lawyer says staff will "cede nothing" to extremists.

Well, first of all I didn't really want to start a Thread on this because I just didn't want to be responsible for it but alas I gave in because no-one else posted a Thread on it.

So it looks like the next edition of 'Charlie Hebdo' may well cause a stir in some communities! I think the Publishers are doing the right thing with this. To not give in is exactly what 'Freedom' fighters/writers must continue to do.

A cartoon depiction of the Prophet Mohammed holding up a sign saying "Je Suis Charlie" will feature on a special edition of Charlie Hebdo produced after last week's newsroom massacre. The bearded figure, with a tear in his eye, stands under the message: "All is forgiven".

Three million copies are to be published of this week's Charlie Hebdo special "survivors' issue", with many of them to be made available outside of France and offered "in 16 languages".

What do you think? Will this cause more problems than its worth or what?

if i were in france, i would buy ten of them.

i applaud their courage and resilience. long live freedom of speech.

This is great to see. This is exactly what should happen, to show that forcing such a sick ideology onto people and killing in the name of this should be shown upfront that it is not going to ever seen as an understandable act as some of these extremists seem to think is the case. Like it will be brushed under the carpet.

Keep posting these cartoons and keep making fun of such madness, its healthy. To show these wasters that they are not important.

I wish and hope to see more muslims themselves stand out and talk about there hatred for extremists too, if they do not agree with such things, as they make out, then they should show some hatred towards these people.

Yes, I do.
But, as it appears in many other cartoons, perhaps you have a point.
Cheers.

And here lays the dichtomy.

Forgiveness is divine.

Killing those who insult Islam is divine.

I chose none of the above.

I'm in no way going to defend the actions of the moslem terrorists/murderers or question the necessity of free speech. But from what I've gathered on the magazine Charlie Hebdo was that they... weren't all that clever or talented. They seemed to take a low road in trying to be offensive. I'm all for good criticism and ridicule aimed at anybody deserving it, but if it stems from hate and intolerance and just tries to be crude, then what's the point? Like I said, I'm in no way disputing their right to publish what they do and I'm not defending the actions of the terrorists. But I can't hold these people up as brilliant societal satirists. I just can't. They've been described as being somewhat similar to those protestors who try to inflame the relatives of veterans at their funerals. The Westboro Baptist church. But hopefully France will see that they have problems and will take steps to prevent things like this happening again. The people seem to be wanting changed and hopefully the French government will follow their lead and do what they want. People need to start making changes and dictate to the government what has to be done, not the other way around.

You can't form an opinion of a body of work if you have not seen the bulk of that work. If you think Charlie Hebdo is crude, you should have seen Hara-Kiri!

A religion of hatred that the people can come from any believe and non believe.
Killing because of a cartoon is very very wrong, but made a cartoon that they know it will offend alot of muslim, radical or not is an act of hatred in different from. And for what? what is the point?

A hate religion member were so happy when this is happened. A member was happy because they can kill other and show their hatred. Another member happy because this gave more reason to hurt other that they already hate.

Hater will always hate.........such a crazy world.

Well, for as long as there are 'Radicals' & 'Extremists' in the World, there will always be 'hate' &/or 'anger' towards those people.

Doesn't matter if they are on the right or the left.

Did anyone else notice the BIG headline changing stories in the News last week?

I have only just realized it myself but one day we had 'allegations' about 'Prince Edward' and his underage sex, the next there was the mass Paris thing and suddenly no more news about the 'Prince Edward' thing...

From our friend Ted Nugent:

Save the planet: Kill the Muslim Third Reich

15 January 2015
The only people who smile and rejoice in killing innocent people are those pure evil rabid dogs who kill innocent people. Hitler was evil. Stalin was despicable and evil. So was Pol Pot, Mao Zedong, Idi Amin and other such subhuman mass exterminators. The world is better off with these rabid dogs off the planet.

Now, I’ll admit I’m not opposed to putting hollow points to the back of the heads of human cockroaches and various other vermin who wish to imprison me with their braindead, toxic “values.” Truth is I want to eliminate them from planet Earth and erase them from the history books of the human race.

To show you how radical I am, I want carjackers dead. I want rapists dead. I want burglars dead. I want child molesters dead. I want the bad guys dead. Let the victims defend themselves in a timely, efficient manner. Double tap center mass. No court case. No plea bargaining, no parole. No time off for good behavior, no early release. I want ‘em dead.

Their victims know who they are and what they are doing. Blow ‘em away and let the crows pick their carcasses clean.

That’s radical in today’s poisonous world of political correctness. So be it.

As Martin Luther King said,

“The question is not whether we will be extremists, but what kind of extremists we will be.”

Indeed, in the vacuum of politically correct circles, I’m rather proud to be an extremist for wanting to exterminate rabid dogs. Everyone knows there is no cure for rabid dogs except a bullet. The question the free world needs to ask is whether we are going to shoot the rabid dog or have the rabid dogs chew our faces off.

My advice: Kill ‘em all and let Satan sort them out. That’s my policy.

Think “Old Yeller.” When he brings us the newspaper and protects us from vermin, give him a biscuit and a hug. When he foams at the mouth and snarls, well, you get the picture.

Make no mistake; the world is in a race to the finish with crazed, rabid, radical Muslims. The choice is simple: Its religious freedom – or subjugation, persecution or death.

Radical Islam is a global cancer. Shariah law should be seen as the hate speech that it is. Its very essence is a criminal act of sedition, advocating the overthrowing of the U.S. government, punishable by hanging. It must be dealt with now, not tomorrow or next week, or surely this religious cancer will consume the host and darkness will indeed cover the Earth.

Keep an eye on what used to be Europe.

To truly understand the vitriol of radical Islam, read “The Nazi Connection to Islamic Terrorism: Adolf Hitler and Haj Amin Al-Hussein”.

No more kicking the can down the road for the next generation. There comes a time for all good men and women to rise up and oppose evil.

That time is now. It is our time.

Americans must show the world the difference between respecting choices in lifestyle versus bending over and welcoming an evil takeover.

This rabid, voodoo threat is very real and right in front of us. We must not shoot just one or two rabid dogs, but to save the human race, we must kill them all.

Right now, it’s the freedom of the world that is at stake. We are all being slandered, maligned and killed, as so-called leaders scramble in a feeble, soulless, dishonest attempt not to hurt someone’s feelings, when life itself is at stake.

Our generation doesn’t have goose-stepping fanatical fascists or Bataan death march goons to exterminate. The threat the entire free world faces right here right now are fanatical Muslims who will not rest till all the non-Muslims are wiped out. These freaks deserve the same fate as the Third Reich and the kamikazes.

Is there a leader somewhere who knows this, will admit it and actually do what is right?

We are waiting.

Meanwhile smart Americans do not go to the Jewish deli or the reading room unarmed and helpless.

We are waiting there, too.

Semper Fi, Brother Ted.

Hater united, hater always find another hater to hate each other.
I was hoping this will be another lesson for us to understand, but obviously it is too far from that.
