interesting story for sure. thanks for sharing.

im a huge animal lover but, i've never heard of a cat communicating in a dream like that. so i really wonder who was actually giving the warning of "it's watching you". was it the shadow entity or was it the cat. i would say the only way to know for sure is to wait for your sister or yourself to have another experience and maybe then you can determine the source of the voice.

my initial reaction is to think that it was indeed the cat warning her that she was being watched by something else. as pets usually play the role of protector, watcher, companion etc.

i've heard that cats have a foot in this world and a foot in the next. i've seen them react to and follow "invisible" things in houses that had spirit activity. ive seen dogs exert the same ability but, there is something unique about cats i can't quite place my finger on. i love dogs and i'm probably more of a dog person in general but, cats seem to have something extra going on in the spiritual department.

keep us posted on any further developments!

Cats ruled Egypt. Now they are ruling most of the world thanks to the internet.
Cats are definitively extraterrestrial and they have got us where they want us. We are their slaves...
...but they do it all by being sooo adorable

By the way, when they sit motionless and stare at you from across the room it is there way of trying to let you know they want something.

Or they are reading our deepest thoughts or trying to put thoughts into our heads. Maybe everything we do is actually just commands sent from their tiny heads?

The only extraterrestrial species I'm aware of is the Venus Fly Trap.

6. Cats, despite their aloof nature, are more similar to us than many realize. The region of the brain responsible for emotion is identical in both cats and humans, meaning cats feel just as we do. [source, What Cats Are Made Of. New York, NY: Ginee Seo Books]

Just the Venus Flytrap? Or would you include the other plants that hunt and trap insects like the sundew and pitcher plants?

I read something about cats being ets a long time ago but for the life of me I can't recall who wrote it or even the title of the book or article (or even if it was a book or article in a magazine). I think they're from here. They're just weird. Cats are natures little psychopaths, that's all.

Just the Venus Flytrap. It has no other plant relative on Earth, it has a unique proto-nervous system, and it is only found in the Carolina Bays, which has been suggested to have been made by a shower of meteorites.

That was the cutest video I've seen in awhile.

But now I'm thinking: maybe humans are the aliens. Maybe we were dropped off some odd number of years ago and slowly took over the planet. That's why we can't understand any other species but all the species seem to have a way of communicating to others, except humans. Idk...just a thought

Exist to spy on us (only) who knows what their private conversations consist of (did you see what I did; observing human hijinks at the max).

I don't know about extraterrestrial, but they are tough sumbitches.
They don't give up the ghost easily.
A stray tom killed my brothers cats and made a point of marking his territory on his front porch.
My brother caught the little scoundrel one night and let him have it. Point blank with a 12 gauge.
The cat was completely eviscerated.
When he picked up the body to dispose of it, the bastard somehow came back alive and latched into his hand with its fangs.
He had to use a knife to pry its locked jaws open.
His hand was pretty much useless for about a month.

Nah, they aren't extra-terrestrial, but can seem like it, especially with the big eyes. I would like to believe that cats, along with other animal could be sensitive to something that we humans don't notice, and maybe more sensitive then other animals. Although if they were, wouldn't they be having a war with space dogs or something, fighting over k-9 and feline rights. lol.

All though I did hear an interesting study from a pal of mine over a weekend, saying that there was a study about a cat who was actually predicting when people would die within a few hours. This is kind of interesting, since cats were revered in Egypt, but weather they are guardian spirits of the underworld, or were just worshiped as Gods might have something to do with it. After all, the Egyptians heavily believed in life and death, but that could be just popular believe.

Wow...thanks for sharing that...

It's said they have 9 lives.

That's messed up though. I would never shoot a cat...

So I asked my sister about that dream and the shadow figure and she actually told me that she has seen it multiple times in other dreams as well. One she recalled waking up and it was leaning over her bed staring into her face but she couldn't see a face, just a black hole, and she could feel it's hot breath on her face... Another time she recalled sitting on the recliner in the living room, passing out and dreaming that it was darting through the the living room towards the kitchen then darted directly in front of her jerking her awake.

Very very scary. Makes me wonder if it's some kind of spirit or something. It's never tried to harm her but she's always felt very panicked and scared in the dreams..

Also, as far as I know no one else has had dreams involving this entity. Or the cat...

None of these dreams included the cat though.

Cats are creepy sometimes.
Animals are more intune with realms we're not.
Cats are not as domesticated as dogs so cats might be more intune with themseles.

However, this only applies if you belive all living onscious beings has a soul/spirit.

One of the sad things about our cat superstition in the US is the side effect it has on cat adoptions. Black cats have the hardest time getting adopted in this country. Go to any pet adoption site sometime and check it out. There will almost always be way more black cats than any other color.

I always seem to get adopted by black cats, or tuxedo cats. Just how I roll, I guess,
and they have all been wonderful. No superstition here!

And they can certainly be spies...

I've never really understood the whole superstition with cats. I've owned a couple black cats in my life and honestly they have all been weird...hmmm
