Wow !

That's crazy... what are the winds gusting at over there with this storm ?

I'm thinking the gusts must be upward of 100 kms, no ?

My brother and I have had foot races during a couple of hurricanes. I've been in head winds where you could lean forward at nearly 45 degrees. If you weren't careful it would lift your feet off the ground and roll you like tumbleweed.
Good fun in an otherwise bad situation.

We had winds gusting at 80-90 kms here about week or so ago... hard as to hell to keep your feet planted on the ground walking at a 45 degree angle grabbing everything within reach to keep grounded.

That's why I figure those gusts must be pushing closer to the 100km mark.... some people were actually getting lifted off of their feet for a few seconds.

I thaught it was messured in meter per second(Mps), kilometer per second(Kms) sounds a bit too much, but I really dont know all about that

This is where those extra road-hugging pounds come into play.

I've been through hurricanes that I didn't have to lean into that much.
