That's the biggest problem with this.

Logic says you can't allow someone to preach hate and inspire terrorism because innocent people are typically the victims.

However, we have freedoms of speech. If you lock these people up, does it set a precedent? Can people who speak out against the government be locked up too because they could inspire violence and revolt?

If we start arresting these "hate preachers" where does the slippery slope lead us?

Would arresting him result in violence, as well? Is it a victory for the terrorists if they cause us to abandon our own ideology to combat them?

Seems to me you have no argument to make if your first resort is to lock someone up who says something you don't like.

If I threaten to kill you and your family (Im not) that is a crime. Would you want me walking around if I did that and had a past history of violent crime?
