I posted this thread ( www.abovetopsecret.com... ) Before I started this Netanyahu one.

Why is Netanyahu in Paris? Notice they keep coming up during this ordeal because the French Jews are being treated like crap by the *disgruntled* Islamic population? They had a market blown up after four people were killed? They shut down their synagogue for the first time since WWII? He's there to tell them they don't have to put up with it. (Notice he's not telling them to pick up arms, or start making homemade bombs or killing anybody). He's telling them they can come home to Israel.

But the whole of France hopes they won't leave. It would be such a huge loss to their culture. Like the U.S. . If our Jews and Blacks suddenly up and left, how boring our country would be.

As far as Barack not going, um, has anybody noticed he's up to his ass in Alligators? He did go to the French Embassy to pay his respects and show his support.

Incorrect, they have not lampooned the Jews.

They did once apparently, but after the usual cries of "Anti-semite" they apologized and sacked the cartoonist to appease the overlords.

So I say again, if free speech means being able to lampoon, criticize or speak against anyone or any group, then that must apply across the board, no exceptions. Every time anyone in the press or politics criticizes Israel or Jews, they are immediately targeted, smeared and removed from office or lose their jobs. How is that free speech?

Looking at the history of Charlie Hebdo, it seems throughout their history they have even been criticized and shutdown by the government due to their rather warped, disgusting and inflammatory material.

I am a complete atheist but looking at some of those "cartoons", I find them offensive and unnecessary, which perhaps explains the fact they were financially on the ropes and didn't really have a big readership.

OK. I stand corrected on that point.

I maintain, however, there is no moral equivalence between a 'letter' to European Jews and what happened in Senegal.

As a matter of fact, what happened in Europe and Senegal is two good points that support that letter, at least as an option.

It certainly doesn't merit your ridicule. Netanyahu has shown more balls by being in Paris and publishing that letter than all the European leaders hand-wringing, relative silence.

The person in the video according to his words is not Islamist but what The West calls FSA Free Syrian Army.
Those are the less Islamic fighters in all the mess that is Syria now. I agree they often switch allegiance, and he or his friends may become radical Islamist in the future. But Israel doesn't really accepting them in large numbers , may be few hundreds in all 4 years of Syrian mess.

I know Iran has a pretty healthy Jewish population and If I am not mistaken, many of them turned down bribe money from Israel to persuade them to leave Iran and move to Israel.

Those Syrians who don't afraid or don't feel disgust to be treated in Israel are supposedly "good guys".
Israel can't really check all of them, but to turn them away if they are asking for medical treatment would be too cruel.

Along with the creation of Pakistan in 1947 as well, the creation of Israel is the worst thing that has happened in the 20th century.
