WAR: Saddam Jail Named For First Time.

Camp Cropper has been named by a top Iraqi official today as the location where Saddam is confined. This appears to confirm long held suspicions that this location is where Saddam is being held. Iraq's Human Rights Minister Bakhtiar Amin, has confirmed that he visited Saddam at Camp Cropper in September.




As i stated in an earlier story, there is a lot of information being released at this time. I feel it is an attempt to 'sure up' the region prior to the Iraqi election(s).

What may be of some concern is that if we know where he is, that now so will his remaining supporters.

Camp Cropper is described as an (HVD) or high value detention site, so I should imagine it is well guarded. Still, I am surprised they have released this information to the public. Obviously they are not worried about any type of breakout situation.

Now that would be just nuts, if there was some sort of big terrorist assault on that camp and dozens of the worst of the worst in iraq get free. Imagine Hussein on the loose again, freed by the insurgents themselves and now linked up with them, off into the iraq hills and desert.

This sort of thing really makes me mad. What kind of fool authorized the Jack A@@@@@ to release where they are holding Saddam? If the US has any brains they should ask the Iraqi leaders to move him immediately and never disclose where he is being held.

They move him around from camp to camp. They probably just gave a name to fool people.

I seriously hope you are right, yet at the same time I can see many problems moving him.

I doubt there are that many sites that can be considered as high security facilities for the likes of him and his buddies.
