Well it seems there might be many more outlandish things to censor than a US intel connect giving false info to a huge news outlet. This much is confirmed to have happened, and just that in itself is cause for discussion. I don't see why it wouldn't be.

Actually, just the opposite. If ATS were to leave a thread open after confirming that the information being discussed and purported as truth was in fact false..then they would encouraging ignorance, not denying it.

No offense but I think your interpretation of the t&c are somewhat skewed. If you dont mind please point me to the exact guidlines in the t&c this topic would violate? as you seem to know, where as many seem to be genuinely miffed about the whole thing. Some clarification would be appreciated, cheers.

Also pretty bad form telling someone if they dont like something they should just leave the site, not very considerate at all really.

Yes mate, its called censorship.

Which the site is perfectly well within their right to do of course, but it is what it is.

Heaven forbid ATS expect some moral culpability for making outlandish claims that could have the potential of causing pain or suffering for someone.

Considering Ive been here since 2008 and with the exception of a few instances where my sharp tongue got the better of me, am in good standing.....

I would consider that I have a pretty good grasp of the T and Cs...

The reasons have been stated repeatedly on the first page of this thread...

Juts because one might not like it doesnt make it the way it is....

its not censorship its protocol which has been outlined, many times...

I find you calling me inconsiderate all while being upset that a thread that was published that could have been considered very inconsiderate was removed, highly ironic...

It was explained by the original moderator who closed the thread. THAT has been repeated now by several of us. I will break it down for you:

The article in the OP was determined as FAKE. This means, that the article which the whole discussion was based on....was FAKE. As in, not true. BUT...it was being discussed and promoted as if it were true, but it wasn't. It was FAKE.

Therefore, the thread was closed. It is up to the discretion of the moderator. If you are still having a hard time understanding the reason, I am sure you can message the mod and ask them personally.

You would know there have actualy been several threads created with regards to this topic, not all including said FAKE news stories. Which is why people have been noticing a trend.

As for the second thread it was moved to the LOL forum for reasons that remain somewhat unclear, at least to me anyway.

I made a thread last night about it being a false flag and it was removed. I was told the reason was because I linked to a video of the shooting and ATS does not allow that. Then tonight, I see a thread with a video af police shooting a 12 year old boy, and that thread was not in violation like I was told mine was. There is a deep er conspiracy going on. Thread suppression IS happening.

Call me a conspiracy theorist but isn't throwing away all analysis of original reports going to burn any attempt to piece together any possible cover-up?

I worry about this recent awareness of news coverage mistakes. Is it not the perfect cover story for any news that might slip out in the initial coverage? The reporter made a mistake.... here is the real "story".

I smell trouble.

I'm just trying to wrap my brain around this thread being in the "Deconstructing Disinformation" topic. I can't figure out who is deconstructing what, or where the disinfo is....it must be getting late in the evening!! Yes it is. I. am. tired.

Yes ATS has the right not to push BS...why can you not see that?

ATS doesn't want to be known as a site that pushes lies...GLP already has that distinction among conspiracy theory forums.

Also nobody is forcing you to bve here as it is your choice to stay and follow what the owners feel is the right thing, or go to another site and enjoy the crap...very simple solution really.

Yeah man, I was about to post something about the very strange list "coincidences" that have been happening around that time only to find it was 404'd.

I imagine an edit of the link was all that was required.
