Freedom of speech is one thing but since this isn't an isolated attack on said group then it's clearly stupid of them to continue to pour fuel on the fire. Now it's cost 10 people their lives, for a cartoon.

Much as you would love it, your right to religion doesn't trump my right to free speech. No matter how you twist it, these MUSLIM Extremists were in the wrong. How weak and scared are you (not you specifically, but Islam), that you are threatened by a cartoon?

I find it funny that Islam forbids his depiction because it may result in idolatry but fight just as savagely as if Allah was insulted. Is that itself not idolizing him? That they would make a martyr or themselves because their idol, sorry..... Their prophet was insulted?

News outlets not printing stories out of fear or possible loss of profits has been going on for decades.... but now it is Islam's fault?

It's not the same. I don't here every day in the news for jews blowing up themselves and mass killing of infidels, or...etc

Violence is only considered terrorism if it's committed by Christians or Jews. If violence is committed by members of the religion of peace, then it's only violence. Christians and Jews use to kill in the name of their God hundreds of years ago. If you kill innocents nowadays you better be yelling 'Allahu Akbar' so it won't be considered terrorism. Soon as they get out of the stone age it will then be considered terrorism.

That's crap, and you know it.

Attacks perpetrated by Muslims are often regarded as terrorist attacks, due to the severity of the acts and the motives. Indeed the attack in France, by alleged Muslims, has been considered terrorism.

In fact, any attack perpetrated by any body for a political or ideological cause is considered terrorism.

Sooner or later this has got to stop. You cannot expect civilized people to live with this, and they won't. The longer we go on trying to appease them and make them happy, the worse the final reckoning will be when it comes too. I don't see any way out of this other than lots of blood. The last time the world saw an ideology so determined to bend the rest of us to its whims, it took the combined efforts of an entire generation and two nuclear bombs to end it.

Let us hope we learned from history.

From what I seeing so far, I am not at all hopeful that any of us have learned anything.

This is one of my favourite cartoons arising from the unfortunate situation in France.
