$14 million an hour.

$337 million a day.

Presently spent over 1.6 trillion.

The Military Industrial Complex just keeps on churning.

By the time you read this post we will have spent more money on war than you'll make this year. Unless you just got it like that. Either way, what business is this successful?

Btw, 1% of this money is spent on medical services for vets.

Ahhh yes...our tax dollars at work.

Well, actually only kind of our tax dollars, most of it is borrowed from the Fed & China but who's counting right?

Wow, imagine what $337 million a day could do invested in humanitarian and environmental projects. This is just the U.S budget, too.

The world's problems would be gone in a flash. I know, it doesn't work that way, but imagine any way. Instead the killing games continue!

so what?
think of all the freedoms you gained!
how nice it is not to have your emails and phone calls recorded, the fact that you can go to an airport without some guy doing a cavity search, how you can post anything on social media because you have ensured freedom and liberty for all!

That's only 3.2million dollars per dead person...

So really it was worth it...

What are the results after some years will be quite scary, the world we have created to our children... Same time we got this huge movement of change going on and largely its run by so obviously corrupted greedy minds with militaristic actions, while the other way would have been peace, freedom, equality and so on. I guess its easier for them to control us and the world trough violence and chaos.

There is a lot of people on this forum bash welfare for individuals, is there a similar measure of many dollars have been spent of welfare for individuals sice 911? Would be good to see.

Would also be good to see a smilar measure on corproate welfare.

The next time someone doubts you when you say ''911 was an inside job''

refer them to that figure.

$250,000.00 per minute for 13+ years was given to the military industrial complex because of that attack!

What have we got from all that money spent?

A broken Iraq
A broken Afghanistan
A broken Libya
A broken Syria
A broken economy
5000 US deaths in Iraq
2500 US deaths in Afghan
Loss of respect all over the world
Loss of confidence all over the world
Depleted military
Enemies all over the middle east who'd love to capture or kill an American or a Brit...
..and don't forget all the filthy, rich, CEO's who made a pretty penny.

Before anyone goes spastic, this wasn't Obama's fault. He didn't start it, but he also didn't finish it and the next republican that's put into office will just accelerate it!

War has become a industry just like fast food. They have to have the flow of money or the economy will collapse. This was setup on purpose and just like getting rid of the feral reserve will crash the entire system it is feeding on.

The scariest part about all of this is what happens when we run out of external enemies.................

You might want to include over a million dead Iraqis, Afghans, Libyans and Syrians.
Several million more displaced, homeless.
Immeasurable ecological damage from spent DU rounds.
Inflated oil prices further ruining our economy.
Loss of many of our freedoms and destruction of the Constitution.

All for the benefit of a very select few.

But... the Arabs... THEIR the ones with the motive for 9/11. Those psychopaths wanted 72 virgins. THATS why the US was attacked. NOBODY wanted an immeasurable, unlimited and virtually unrestricted pipeline to US tax dollars in the biggest run on ones own credit in the history of mankind.

NO!

That is NOT where the motive lies. SILLY conspiracy theorists. They just WANT that to be true because they are greedy and lazy and THATS why they always turn everything around on the profiteers.

What is interesting is how Bin Laden said several times that the attacks where not so much intended to cause mass casualties (although that was obvious objective) but that the larger goal was to drag America into endless and costly conflict to bankrupt the country and thus take away its power.

I wrote a thread on this subject ages ago.

Its Amazing really when you look at how American debt has evolved since the 9/11 attacks regardless of who you believe was behind the attacks.

Yes, the terrorists won. Most Americans just haven't figured it out because they wouldn't want to admit it. Compare our lifestyle and economics before and after.

Yup they won.

Bin laden and there ilk never intended to survive.

They wanted the results we see now:
Endless war
Endless debt
Unstable ME
Abuse of human rights
Paranoia and frear
Stripping of freedoms
Goverment over reatch
Restrictions on freedom of speech.

I would say the terrorist have scored a pretty desicive victory through out the west.

Next time you are being gropped at a airport, cant buy a product anymore cause it could be used by terrorists, read about someone being arrested for a joke or see heavy police presence everywere just think on how you let the terrorists win.

And just how much have we spent 'fightng' the US longest war in Ameircan history ?

Th 'war' on poverty.

22 trillion dollars. Current federal spending is over 2.2 trillion dollars PER YEAR.

Horrah for selective outrage.

HORRAH FOR THE GD WELFARE INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX.

I wish to GOD people would stop misquoting Eisenhower.

www.washingtontimes.com...

This year marks the 50th anniversary of President Lyndon Johnson’s launch of the War on Poverty. In January 1964, Johnson declared “unconditional war on poverty in America.” Since then, the taxpayers have spent $22 trillion on Johnson’s war. Adjusted for inflation, that’s three times the cost of all military wars since the American Revolution.

A normal thinking person would conclude... somethings wrong here. Either a mistake in the calculation or this government and its citizens approving are out of their #^%$ minds. Spending all that money while people have no roof above their heads, are hungry, cannot affort medical care or proper education... and soiling their nature.

I always asked myself if it is true that most citizens do not want war with an other country..? Has it not always been the people with money(=power) who decide for the majority. Making ure the common people will fight their wars '' they'' instal laws like... Refuse to fight=desertation=death. And such...?
