I'm a scientist. I don't believe in fairy tales.

I'm a mystic. I don't believe in scientists. Their just people with "degrees"

It can partially explain the "How" not the "why" though unfortunately.
And it begs a much larger question. According to his theory, what exactly is driving that "external source of energy" that is driving the atoms?

Everything has to have had a beginning, so whatever was there in the beginning had to be infinite because nothing could have predated it, nor created it. IT did the creating.

so the million dollar question is...

Do you want to trust a flesh and blood human being who is incredibly limited in his brain power like us all. And hinge your bet that his theory is correct. Or do you want to trust that all life has to come from pre-existing life ( science)- which ultimately points to a Creator.

Science can never disprove God, if anything those who truly follow the real scientific models of investigating all the data unbiased, eventually come to realize everything about this universe screams "Intelligent Design"

just my two cents.

the "SYSTEM." The point he makes is that life doesn't come from a god but from a system which is already conducive to living things.

Er. Excuse me. Can I ask one question please?

Ah, where does the SYSTEM come from?

they all must follow some magical predetermined set of rules, which are also just magically there by themselves

According to the multiverse theory, there are multiple universes, and each one could have different laws of physics. Universes with suitable physics can support life, and those that don't can't. No creator is needed.
