Afghanistan's Roshaniyya

Hello all! Hope everyone's New Year is going well. So I had a question, I had a discussion about this secret society with my father and apparently the Roshaniyya were a secret Sufi society that originated in Afghanistan and was the inspiration for the Bavarian Illuminati. Does anyone or can anyone shed more light upon this topic? I'm trying to look for articles online but it seems like most of it all are outdated.
