New Microscopic Motion Detector Could Find Alien Life: Says NBC News

-Swiss inventors just invented a new way to find alien life in a groundbreaking a super efficient way. It's similiar to a motion detector that's sensitive to motion unlike others which focus mainly on finding organic chemistry. This same device is also making it's way to the hospitals and doing things you never would've even thought it would do. The mechanical nanosensor can also detect cancer cells or nasty bacteria. Not only can it diagnose more efficiently, but it also helps during check-ups to see if your cancer treatment is effective and killing off nasty unwanted cancer cells.

You give energy to a crystal structure and it can move, the pattern is known on pure crystals but not conglomerates. I don't understand how this will be able to work properly.

But if someone buys it for space exploration, overall it will be working properly as a money maker.

How would we know if it actually works as they say anyway, it is not like we can go to Mars to verify it.

I wouldn't know if it would work to detect cancer or not, there are so many variables in the human body.

--Yes, in the article I typed out, you can not only detect deadly cancer cells and other bacteria.. you can also detect how well you are reacting to the medicine they give you.

--For example:
1. We can try different treatments when it comes to cancer and bacteria
2. While you're we're attempting these different treatments we can take a sample(blood, saliva, skin, etc) whatever it may be you're having trouble with and actually see how well/bad you're responding by examining how many cancerous cells or bacteria are left over.
3. If the treatment works continue until you are better.. If it doesn't we can switch the meds and see how they react to them.

It will probably be a good tool for medicine. It may be a good tool for testing the metabolic state of our atmosphere though.

The atmosphere is full of organic gases (oxygen, nitrogen, etc) and is full of air which always has some motion (even still weather has convection currents, mechanical waves, etc). The body is full of organic compounds (blood, muscles) that hardly ever stop moving unless you're dead. Won't the device keep on alerting for possible alien life forms everywhere?

We all have bacteria and cancer cells residing in our bodies. Hundreds of types.

That's quite the invention. Sorta like a bat's ears.
