This is my lab tech. Honestly, her work ethic is somewhat questionable.

Valid question.

Lacey is a Daddy's girl, and Needy Nellie is Mommy's lil' shadow.

Hubby has had poms before. When his younger son came to visit, the first words out of his mouth were "Dad and his Pomeranians..."

Wouldn't trade the little noisemakers for the world..

I think this is a great idea for a thread. I would support having a forum for pets. I have 3 dogs and 7 cats of my own, all rescues. I was the vice president of my local humane society and currently serve on the board of directors of a new cat rescue non-profit organization. We incorporated last month and things are going great. We have 29 cats in our foster program that we are looking to find forever homes for. Here are a couple of pictures of mine:

Sophie

Sophie is the newest addition to our family. She is a lab mix. She was a local rescue but unfortunately due to a serious illness her original adoptive family couldn't keep her so we adopted her. She is just over a year old and has plenty of energy. One reason we love her is that she is a great playmate for:

Sadie

Sadie was one of five littermates taken in by our local humane society. We got her as a foster the day after my dog Kira, died unexpectedly due to a tumor on her spleen. We decided to adopt her. She is a year old now and a Pit Bull/Boxer mix. She is very smart and was the youngest graduate of her obedience class. Intermediate training is coming soon.

Bella

This beautiful cat was dumped in a subdivision about 15 miles from where I live. When we rescued her we had to get a professional groomer to remove all the mats she had and to give her a bath. She looked horrible. She was in our rescue program for about 6 weeks before one of my friends adopted her.

Just a little about some of the dogs and cats I have. If you are in North Carolina and are looking for a cat or kitten to add to your family, feel free to PM me!

Cute cat. I'm glad I wasn't drinking anything when you started meaowing at it. That was funny. Now I don't fee like a weirdo for singing to my dogs.

I can have hours of fun with my cat talking to him and he sending me the words he wants to speak.
Sometimes I stop myself and think "this isn't right" but Jake just makes a funny comment to me and I think it is normal.

I wish I could but for one thing, I am living in an apartment building which my elderly Mother owns and I pay cheap rent. She is 91 and when she passes away, I highly doubt I will be able to afford to live here and so many places do not allow pets. Secondly, I live on the 3rd floor and both my husband and I are disabled and need help with people carrying some of our groceries up here. For them to have to also carry heavy containers of cat litter on top of everything else wouldn't be fair to them. I'm the one who takes out the garbage and I don't miss the heavy bags of used cat litter. And I don't have health coverage so I certainly can't afford vet bills for a cat. I used to have up to 3 cats at a time and do miss them terribly!

There are so many loving and homeless cats I would love to bring home but I just can't.

I definitely think this will be my charity of choice. This guy is amazing!

Not my cat, but looks exactly like my Cat Tai who passed away at 19 years of age.

Also not my cat, but looks just like the last kitty I owned who was deaf and a rescue.

These aren't mine either but I do have a few of these tiger fish.
