Thanks brother1!!

Once i am finished shoving turkey and cornbread dressing in my face ill waddle over to the recliner to watch some football (for about 5 minutes, until i fall asleep).

Itss totally worth getting up at 4am to start cooking. Ill have a few days of leftovers. For some crazy reason i bought a 25lb bird.

I had a great day. The turkey got a wee bit overcooked, but it didn't dry it too much. Since I had brined it for 36 hours, the flavor was spot on.

But with a 25lb bird, plus another 25lb ham (butt end, so its got a fair amount of bone weight)....we have more proteins in our fridge than we can reasonably handle. Ill probably make a few trays of turkey enchiladas to pass around to folks that may not have the leftover situation that I have. I have a big ol box of mixed dried chile's that I need to render into sauce this evening. Nothing like home made enchilada sauce!

That image can be used as an avatar, but not as a background......animated backgrounds are not allowed on ATS.

BOO!!!

It has been a great while since I have been on the site. Between computer problems and work it has been hard. I wanted to say hi to everyone and thought this would be a good place to do that. I've missed everyone. I hope all is well. It's great to see this thread is still going after 3 years.

Hey guys !

I have a rookie question for all you avatar pros...

For the transparent .gif avatar images used to overlay on top of a background image:

Does the image have to be in the .gif format ? Or can it be in the .png format too ?

I'm just curious to understand the difference between a .gif and a .png, and was wondering if it had anything to do with ATS site scripting or something as to why the tranparents are .gif extensions ?

Side note: I'm all set for the Xmas Avvie contest (lots of fun avvies are made and ready to go)... so bring it on baby !

First, may I how ask much time it will take you? I don't want to waste too much of your time if it's a tedious and time consuming thing to do.

Especially this time of year...I know things get really busy for everyone around the holidays.

Thanks

.png format is supported for avatars, including transparent ones.
