It's been announced that rock legend Joe Cocker has Died aged 70.
This is how I will forever remember him

What a voice

The singer song-writer from Sheffield had a career lasting more than 40 years with hits including You Are So Beautiful and Up Where We Belong.
His agent Barrie Marshall confirmed that he had died of an undisclosed illness.
He said he was "simply unique" and "it will be impossible to fill the space he leaves in our hearts.

Rest in Peace Sir.

I will never forget the SNL episode when he was the guest singer. He came out singing like only Joe could sing when up come Belushi doing his Cocker impression and they sang together, both squeezing out the notes, eating the mic, sweating and contorting like Joe did. What a blast. Thanks for sharing your voice Joe. See ya.

I was just writing a thread about this, thought it wise to check again first, I'll tag it on here if I may.

Those of you around my age will have grown up listening to his music, maybe even "making out" to it as younger people.

RIP Joe and thanks for the memories.

A couple of of my favourite Joe Cocker songs

This makes me so very sad right now…

His art transcended genres, and his passion is for his art overwhelms you.

Just the other day I was telling my friend that the time will come our (music) heroes will pass away one after the other. Joe Cocker was one of them. Sorry to hear that.

I am not looking forward to hear Mick Jagger got the boot..

Oh man. Legend.
I love Joe, I got in trouble many times as a youngster using the record player, and 9 times out of ten it was Joe Cocker. That tone is just something else.
It's too damn sad, but if I may try and make a few of you smile (perhaps laugh a little?). Now, it is well known how hard it is to understand his words sometimes - so I will leave you this little gem.

Hoggify. Rest well Joe.

Genuinely funny warm guy, he was so beautiful.

Few weeks ago I was watching on YT some of his last performances and couldn't avoid notice how old he got. Then I asked myself what would I do when this sad day will come. I feel empty somehow now.

Still need him in this world,
