Hold up, where did this come from? I have yet to hear anything more about Bush's plan. Did it die? If so, I have lost all faith in humans exploring space. If a 30 year plan was killed in less than 1 year then what the hell?

President Bush's announcement of a 280-million-mile manned space flight to Mars caught everyone by surprise. Space enthusiasts, arguing for years that NASA had lost its way, were electrified.
