go back on your psychotropic meds.

Really?
Mental Health insults because someone on a conspiracy site doesn't trust their own government?

Real pleasant.

HE IS SAFE.....omg thanks to those who posted with help. Yes, they have blocked all the mobile signals in the area. I was only there a couple of months ago to see my brother at work. The cafe is right across from the commonwealth bank, channel 7, sky news and next door to the reserve bank. NSW parliament house is just at the top of martin place.

There would be more than 13 hostages i reckon. My brother took me and my daughter there for what he said is the best hot chocolate ever...and it was. That was about 10.30am and it was jam packed then.

The writing on the flag looks more affiliated to Al Nusra. commons.wikimedia.org...:Flag_of_Jabhat_al-Nusra.jpg

Why can't that be speculated on?

Speculating that this is ISIS attacking aussie is cool but nothing else?

I didn't state it was a false flag.

I was trying to ascertain if that particular belief was indeed the belief of the member I posited the question to as that was how I was reading their posts.

Your reply was more MSM 'jumping to conclusions' than mine was. Breathe.

I heard they were told to make their way to upper levels, just in case there was an explosive device in the cafe.

Is aussie a "martian place"?
I didn't know that one.

Hey, question everything and don't forget the past.
Just saying that this event could be spun for what is needed by those pushing a war regardless of its true motives

You need to do some research on that Neo, pal.

Al'Qaeda are not IS.

AQ denounced IS... & IS think AQ are weak and old.

Live Updates: Sydney Morning Herald

In regards to the flag:

An explanation of the flag seen in the cafe windows

From national security correspondent David Wroe: "The flag being shown in the window is not an Islamic State flag, nor one for the other best-known jihadist group Jabhat al-Nusra. Rather, it appears to be a Shahada flag, which represents a general expression of faith in Islam, though has been co-opted by various jihadist groups.

Greg Barton, a terrorism expert from Monash University, says that "getting hold of an (Islamic State) flag would be quite difficult, and people will make do with what they have got".

That means it doesn't help confirm or rule out that the hostage-takers' affiliation is with Islamic State or any other group."
