this world really is in a very turbulent state
Agreed, but most of that turbulent state is generated by governments manipulation, lies, propaganda and the ignorance of its citizens.
so NSA should in have full reigns when dealing with foreign powers such as China, Russia and islamic extremists.
I would agree if we had a gov't system in place that ensured minimal corruption based on money versus the majority of the peoples will.
However, You assume that the well situated members of the NSA or gov't main priority are to please its citizens .
The gov't is not in control anylonger its the other way around, corporations are in control of the gov't .
1. Politicians need corporations to get big reliable steady donations,
2. Politicians need corporations to give them good public image in their controlled MSM (News,TV,Radio,Paper),
3. Politicians need corporations to give them permission to be listed as a political candidate under the RNC and DNC corporate controlled entities.
4. Politicians need corporations to give them permission to be selected in the presidential debates under the privately owned Commission on
Presidential Debates.
5. Politicians need corporations to give them their big pay day with cushy jobs or million dollar speaking engagements when finished with their
political career.
So when you give full control to the gov't ,in essence you are giving full control to Corporations that have the unrealistic goals of infinitely
exceeding last years goals/profits. Eventually to continue with their infinite gains they reach the line in the grey area. The problem is now these
corporations have our politicians in their hands and the surveillance access to continue shifting the line farther into the grey area legally. The
grey area now was the dark area before.
This also creates alot of conflict of interest:
A lot of these companies also have conflicting interest when it comes to profits and what is best for humanity or its own citizens. A private defence
contractor with revolving doors in DC/Virginia makes more money during a time of conflict than during peace time.
Has the grey area been moved over to a point where its acceptable for gov/corporations to utilize our gov't resources , knowledge and propaganda to
create a fake foreign conflict in pursuit of money?
Is that line far enough that unlimited surveillance of its people is more likely going to be utilized for control and propaganda against the people
themselves to create good consumers versus protecting them?
