Wow! That's a serious edit you made to the OP and the title. It pretty much changed the whole topic of the thread lol.

Nothing changed, the bill is still the same bill and I decided to reference both sides.

I changed the title to reflect both sides, since some people got their feathers in a bunch.

This isn't a partisan issue, but rather a serious breach in constitutional rights.

What makes everybody think this is only about gays, EMT's and Christians?
What if a Muslim women came into a store wearing a headscarf? she could be refused service yes?

What if a Muslim store owner refused service to a person with a service dog? I have read about Muslim cab drivers refusing to allow dogs or alcohol into their cabs, this would become legal?

They just keep pushing and pushing for it don't they?!?!?

Keep it up all you psycho Fundamentalist Xians. You think you're persecuted now?? Keep pushing your BS ideas in to law along with your BS mythology in to classrooms and you'll find out what it really means to be persecuted.

But look at the bright side. In the end you'll finally get what you always wanted. The Afterlife.

Good Lord dude! You want to start killing Christians because we don't want to cater to gay weddings? Get a grip bro.

I didn't say I wanted to kill anyone. But I certainly can see it getting that bad in today's high impact society. Just look around you. People are angry and acting on it more and more. This just adds one more thing for people to protest about.

Also, if you think this is really about wedding cakes you need to look a bit harder at what's going on here.

Please don't call me bro either. I'm not you're bro, or your buddy or your pal and I have a firm grip on things. The people pushing for this kind of legislation are also anything but Christians in the true sense of the word. These people are A-holes who've adopted the Christian label because it allows them a means to an end. That end, ironically, will actually hurt any decent Christian who's caught in the crossfire.

That is the point I'm trying to make. I suppose my dark humor may have been too much for you. What can I say, I'm a cynic.

Its very funny that the focus is on emt and gay people, think about it how is anyone going to know what your religious beliefs are ???.........UNLESS THERE IS A SPECIFIC ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF WHAT EXACTLY YOU BELIEVE.. OH LETS SAY LIKE THE WAY MUSLIMS GREET EACH OTHER- IN ARABIC then all others can take a hike- don't be fooled . thats my two cents .

Someone's Religious Belief would have to be acknowledged if that was their excuse of why the refused service to someone though. It wouldn't be known at first, but if they refuse service and they are asked on what grounds they did they would then have to say it was because of their Religious Beliefs.

I'm not sure if that's what you were saying exactly though. I didn't completely understand your example.

Well...Christians (some) want to and do kill gays (Adam Shepard anyone?) so maybe they will find the shoe on the other foot for once.

And no....I don't feel bad for wishing death on A-holes.

Well they might be insane, but does that make them a$$holes?

Do you even realize that you are the very thing that you hate?

No. A-holes are people who discriminate in the name of the Lord.

So you would wish death upon me if I refused to bake a cake for your wedding?

I noticed you capitalized Lord, do you consider yourself a Christian?

Quoting the good book when it fits your needs?
I suppose most of us are guilty of that from time to time.

My take on this, is that it's a bad piece of legislation, then again when has there really been a good one? Few and far between, that's for sure.

If passed, I think this has a real possibility to breed hate. People are better off when there is less legislation telling them what they can or can't do. This state government needs to get out of the way, and stay out of the way.

I was rereading the post when I had a thought, it seems so simple actually it's probably a stupid idea.

If Christians are the majority, then why not make your business a Christian only one?

Whatever you may believe, cater to the group of your choice and make that very clear in every aspect of business.

On the flip side, your business can be all inclusive (as most are anyway) and you can make that very clear to your customers as well.

Every place I've worked at has a policy in place that doesn't allow discrimination of any kind and have signs that let you know about that.

I can see using this as a PR marketing and advertising plus if you want to make that exclusive business look really bad and make your inclusive one look like the better choice.

Consider this exclusive Christians, that serving a bunch of "sinners" may be the big opportunity for you to witness and help bring a few more back to the Lord.

They do it's called "Pick a church of your denomination" lol

Unfortunately, religious fanatics see fit to instill their ideals on everyone outside their cult....opps I mean religion.

Religious people are some of the most hypocritical "Do as I say and not as I do people", in the world.
