Mars Vacuum cleaner attachment

I'm going to run this through some filters in Gimp, especially enhancements and try to take the noise and mess out. But I just ran this through some very simple filters because the holes on the back struck me as odd.

Ummmmmm....they're evenly space and form a pattern with one hole in the middle.

This aint no rock...sorry.

I'm gonna keep working on this. Trying to get an the least noisy original zoomed in.

Sorry guys that's mine.. I was using a bottle of bleach to remove the DNA evidence of previous life.. must have gotten squashed by the rover and covered in dust.. oops.

Is that you're honest opinion?

look at that pic again - that is IMHO sedimentary rock

it has several distinct bedding planes - and the interesting bit is the angle

obviously sediments are laid wown horizontal

so that pick evidences later tectonic uplift

now that is interesting geology - for mars

so - stop looking for artefacts of your imagination - and look at the rocks - they are real and just as interesting

Interesting ROCK. It speaks to wind or water erosion. There are a near infinite number of terrestrial examples here on earth. Nor is the circular feature a cavity or the material it is made out of metallic, plastic etc.

As I have said before, there is a good possibility that there are biological ...perhaps even technological artifacts on Mars that have survived the 3 billion years since it was last habitable..but the journey toward discovery demands that we have a rational standard of proof and call a rock a rock despite our enthusiasm.

You have to look near the base of the rover. Just move the image with your mouse toward the base and circle around to the correct spot.

The Mars Curiosity Rover has a sample drill that extends off the front of it via lengthy robotic arm and has been consistently using it. You can do a Google Image search for Mars rover Drill Holes.

to me it looks like a piece of petrified wood....

Makes me wonder if the curiousity is even on mars at all and really in some remote desert on earth . Or we are being sent images from earth while curiousity completes its mission unseen by the public ? The "its a rock" excuse seems to be wearing thin these days. Ok debunkers burn your torches and come get me

they need to start cleaning the debris from the arizona desert before they take these shots

So many of the objects seen could look completely different given color. Again, I may be wrong though. I dont know much.

Appears to be a wind eroded feature that has toppled over due to it's base ( the circular area with the flat) breaking away from the circular area just to the right.

However, I'd prefer it to be something other.

I'm guessing Rosie the Robot dropped it as the Jetsons were flying overhead on the way to their family summer vacation at the Valles Marineris. They're going to walk on the Sky Bridge there.

Could be a wave eroded rock.

as much as i want to believe, it looks like a rock to me.
a rock that has broken off at its smallest point, which makes it look odd.

as for the shape and smoothness, rocks can look like that, and many do

While I admit it's probably a rock...if you think it looks like a rock you must be a government misinformation agent =). It does not look like a rock or anything around it. It's probably a rock though.

When you see artifacts like this, they probably put it in there just to mess with you.
