Lol what?

"Well yes i understand that deforestation my company does for livestock and farming has endangered and possibly eliminated different kind of species. But isn't that more of a conservation issue and less of a environmental issue?"

That's what you just said? Reflect on that?

I prefer DaVinci.

Wrong.
That's certainly quite different from what I'm saying but if it is the way you're looking at it that would explain why you're so spectacularly wrong.

Oh, just for the record, I'd say it was an environmental issue.

I understand that some people have a fear of chemical names and have issues understanding why the dose makes the poison.
Here's a piece which may prove helpful to those struggling with the above concepts.

The Dose Makes the Poison

Well, sorry about your luck, but it is true.
Look at my profile and you will find every answer to your questions.
The story is there in detail. And my surgeon just so happened to be
Chief at OSU in Columbus, Ohio. He has now just focused his attention on
"wound care" and BECAUSE it is a University, they do experiments there..shhhh

Liver ruptured, I PROMISE!

The greatest detox has existed on this planet for billions of years free of charge, water. Nature offers many other gifts to keep us functioning the way we are meant to.

The OP article is spot on. If someone has to sell you a detox program or product, consider yourself the fool for buying it.

sigh. Once again youre not understanding constant exposure, toxic waste added to all the products we use> Overtime that constant unnatural exposure will lead to illness

Define unnatural.

Oh nevermind just click on episode 28 of NLBS. Joe did a fine job of exposing the detox myths.

Is that what you think it said. We must have watched different videos because the one I watched said detoxing doesn't work period aside from your bodies natural ability to detox.

Oh it did say eating a healthy diet and exercising is beneficial. Which is the same thing I have maintained throughout the thread.

I find it interesting that you took away a different message. BTW detox pills don't work.

There is a detox that works. It is not some proprietary, exotic, and polymorphic concoction; rather it is quite common.
It is liposomal vitamin C. There is so much content on it on ATS, that you can easily read about it if you have not already.

Vitamin C , an antioxidant, does a job on free radicals, science proven and that to me, is a detox in context.

Not to pick a specific thread, because most are excellent in their own right. Good old Search can find a bunch for you if you wanted to know more.

I tried liposomal vitamin C. I made a couple batches and drank it every day for about two months and I didn't experience anything like what was claimed in that thread. The colour and smell of my pee changed but that was about it.

Maybe it works for some people but I didn't notice anything remarkable personally. I am not saying the placebo effect was at work with everyone else just that it do anything for me.

I was pretty disappointed to be honest.

As far as the science goes with it the method by which it detoxifies or what exactly the toxins are that are removed has eluded me.

As the saying goes, "Results may vary".
As far as I am concerned it makes me more alert and gives extra stamina, especially when you put in some major hours.

I know results vary I was just really hoping it was going to deliver for me. Its kind of par for the course though because not many things do.

Oh well. If it works for you and others then thats great I just wish it had for me.

What toxins?
Be specific.

And although YOU mightn't know what happens to our bodies I can assure you that there are plenty of people who would know.

Massive amounts of Vitamin C, no matter how formed or ingested, will not have any miraculous health benefits. It's just that simple. As we all know, your body IMMEDIATELY gets rid of ALL excess Vitamin C. But people are going to believe whatever they want to believe, so...

I know a woman thats into that crap. She also sells weight loss wraps. If those worked honey why the hell are you so fat?!?! Hopefully she's wraps one around her head so I don't have to here her talk anymore...

I love you...platonically of course ((clears throat)) for the 'wrap' bull

I won't mention the name...but we all know it

My friend on FB CONSTANTLY updates her status talking about how it totally works!!!

I put her on mute...so one day she messages me and asks how's things...I'm like dandy and mentioned how nice it is to be on break from grad school and reading a good book...she keeps pushing and pushing the convo to maybe I should read her book

I was basically talking to an informercial...finally I said...I'm not buying a wrap...I am overweight in the stomach...and working on it...it's called vegetables, portion control, fructose reduction, water and blah blah

those wraps are so worthless

then when people DO buy a wrap set...they suddenly get charged another $200 and get more...and even though they do exactly what is on the instructions, they get told they did it wrong

Basically it's wrap up and inhale water...well no crap...if all I did was drink water and eat like one bean sprout a day I'd die...but look FABULOUS!

As far as whole body cleanses...no

I believed in them...I have tried it a good 6-7 times...instructions followed perfectly...all I did was spend a massive amount of time on the can...felt lighter only because I think the last I went one of my thigh bones came out too

didn't detox a thing...all I felt was weak for the whole time...which I am told was my body's response to losing all these toxins

uh huh

Don't get me wrong, I have found a few legit natural products that help. When I am having an upset stomach...ginger chew...and it's gone...or peppermint

occasional sleep trouble? melatonin...

and a couple others...otherwise the trick is to BE healthy...not be unhealthy and try to cover it with miracle pills

Hey I tried it with hopes that it would deliver but it didn't. The thread on it claimed that the way it was made would deliver more into your system. I guess my system is a normal everyday system that expels the excess just like you said.

well really, the vast, massive majority of people in a first world country, even eating crap like McD's will likely still have the vitamins they need. Multi's, singulars and mineral supplements are needed for specific cases with a genetic disposition or health concern that causes a lack of said vitamins or minerals. Prenatals are needed to supplement mom with a baby inside, calcium is supplemented typically for elderly women for calcium loss, and D supplements can be used for genetic D deficiency and so forth.

Beyond that, you are most likely pissing out the vitamin and whatever cash you spent on the bottle. It's not usually dangerous per se unless you hyper load on specific vitamins, but it is also likely not doing you anything beyond placebo

The point about liposomal is that it coats the vitamin C in lecithin, so that it can survive your digestive system, which destroys most of it if ingested plain. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant, and it does have a beneficial effect if you can get enough of it. You are right that your body will get rid of what it cannot use. There is no point in getting injections of it when you have this easy method.
