how many movies have you seen?

I've thought about this before because I watch a lot of movies. I would estimate that I watch 300-325 new movies a year and have been doing so since I was a teen working next to a video store in the mid 90's. Before that probably 150 or so new movies a year. That would put me in about the same range — somewhere around 7,000-8,000 as a conservative estimate.

i loved working at the video store. gravy job. i put movies on i wanted to see. got rec's from customers and turned them onto killer stuff. i got to order movies for the store. free rentals and screeners.

back in the 80's when cable was kicking off my dad figured out how to jack cable through our analogue box. all it took was an index card.
we used to tape movies on vhs.
i had hundreds of tapes with 3 movies each.
wish i still had them.

a lot of those movies are on moritorium and will not be released on dvd or blu ray
