I have not reviewed any of the evidence the BYC choking death, but have reviewed all of it in the Ferguson case and can say they got it right for that one.

There is no need to review what happened in New York it was caught on video…

Sorry, I don't see the difference. So you're categorizing cops who killed perps one-on-one who were involved in some type of criminal actvity and were cleared by grand juries as "murderers". The white cop was killed by FOUR gang members who robbed him first. Those four thugs didn't get "paid time off" is because, I'll bet, didn't have legitimate jobs except trying to get street cred with the gang.

Gang members kill others as a right of passage. They are known to kill people of all colors; male, female, young and old.

I don't know why people keep allowing themselves to get sweep away in this white vs black charade and distraction.

The real problem and the one they are successfully luring your attention away from, is the establishment of a militarized police force that has no respect for "any" American citizen.

Why are so many people playing into their hands with this black vs white bandwagon?

There will still be plenty of time left for bigotry and racisim when the smoke clears. Right now I strongly suggest that the racist and bigots put this condition on a back burner until we restore some semblance of the America that we were proud to call home, and until we are more afraid of countries that may wish to attack our freedoms then the attack on our freedoms from the organizations that we pay.

It is time to put our thinking caps on and stop allowing ourselves to be distracted and misled. At this point I believe any cap is better than no cap. Tin foil or wool, we need to open our eyes and start thinking for ourselves.

This article evokes false equivalence.

So far as I can tell, the only things the same about that case and the other cases is that someone ended up dead, a cop was involved, and two different races were involved.

This is a terrible case, but it's not going to provoke outrage for a variety of reasons. To name a few:
1) The suspects are gang members; murderous behavior from them is frankly not surprising.
2) People heard stuff like how Michael Brown was shot with his hands up or running away - which is probably didn't happen, but that's what they were told.
3) Wilson was a police officer and people expect more from their police.
4) There was a long history of police targeting blacks in Ferguson - so many blacks were stopped that it was equal to 32% of the black population of Ferguson, while a number equivalent ton only around 12% of whites were stopped in one year. Hell, just read Wilson's testimony. He considered the apartments near where he shot Brown "an antipolice area for sure" and "not an area where you can take anything really."

Because the killers arein jail. Simple concept really but not for you i suppose. The killers were tried and jailed. The killer cop walks free to kill again.

Hence the outrage. Simple really.

Also, the media? They are probably high fiving each other as they would love more attacks like this to start happening.

This officer was murdered back in February and his suspected killers arrested. A simple search shows a large number of articles regarding the case. Most of these were around when the murder happened and when suspects were arrested.

Suspects awaiting trial on various charges, so it's been quiet for awhile. Until that happens, there won't be a lot of news regarding the case.

What does the color skin have to do with the crime committed? Let me ask, was this murder in a position of authority? Was this murder assumed to be a trusted member of the community? Has this murder been cleared of any wrong doing by a grand jury?

Murders happen every day; too many to spotlight in nationwide media. The ones that deserve national attention are the ones in which there is an abuse of power by LEO.

Personally I don't see the connection between the two, and I think the problem is that the article is trying to make it a simple race issue.
